Months ago I said the only one who could stop Trump was Trump. I expected him to fall apart before the convention and never get the nomination, but that was a bit overly optimistic. I was confident that he wouldn't be able to withstand the scrutiny of a presidential campaign.

Hillary has been involved in politics on a national level since Bill ran in 1992. Since that time she has been under a lot of scrutiny, so there isn't a lot new. Even Benghazi is years old. People like to hear about scandals but most tend to tire of hearing about it while a few never let go.

Donald has been a celebrity and public figure for a long time. While celebrities are under some scrutiny, it is no where near the scrutiny a national political figure gets. Even up until the convention, there wasn't that much scrutiny because a lot never thought Donald would make it this far. Since the convention, opposition research is making up for lost time and all kinds of stuff are popping up such as the Billy Bush video. I'm sure there will be a few more surprises that will be the last nails in Trump's election coffin, even though there aren't too many nails left.

The most bizarre part about the nasty woman interjection is that it came during an answer about the Social Security Trust Fund.

Didn't she say that she would increase her SS taxes and Donald's - if he couldn't find a way to get out of it. And that's when he called her a nasty woman. LOL

My social security payroll contribution will go up, as will Donald’s, assuming he can't figure out how to get out of it.

Hillary is a liar the same way all politicians and people for that matter are. If you think she is super dishonest (like say Donald Trump), congrats, the Republican smear jobs have had their intended impact on you.

Mate. Trump is a freakazoid who shouldn't be trusted with a box of matches.

But to deny Clinton isn't a bit dodge is ignoring the obvious.

Clinton is just the vastly better of two evils
 
It's fascinating that Trump is unable to edit his own statements. Every single answer he gave last night should have been focused on expanding his base. Disagreeing with our own intelligence services and interjecting to call Clinton a "nasty woman" doesn't make anyone on the fence want to vote for him.

You are quite right. If the Republicans had a decent human being to run against Hillary, he'd be winning in a landslide.

If the Dems had nominated someone likeable, Donald would be polling in the 20s.

This is probably the worst choice of candidates since 1856 with Buchanan, Fremont and Fillmore.
