The part that says "quid pro quo."

Your argument is that the words "quid pro quo." automatically make it KENNEDYS suggestion. Brilliant.

Seems like it would be easier to simply admit your were wrong. I guess that's not easy for some people...

The desire to ask the FBI to declassify something so the scumbag could bury it? Oh yeah man, that is what we call an "overt act."

Following approved procedures for unclassified documents is somehow illegal/criminal ? Maybe in TBD world...

Also, of course, the fact that "asking the FBI to declassify something so the scumbag could bury it" only happened in your fantasies.

:eye-poppi

My fantasies? Are you having trouble reading the excerpts from the actual documents YOU posted?

"archive the document in the basement of the DoS never to be seen again."

"contacted by Patrick Kennedy, Undersecretary of state, who had asked his assistance in altering the email's classification in exchange for a "quid pro quo."

Please repeat your silly claim so I can type those again and again and again and again!

FANTASTIC, i was born and bred in that there Br'iar patch!

I know, right ? Maybe you could point out which specific words you think provide evidence for your silly notion KENNEDY suggested a quid pro quo ? I don't see any ....

"contacted by Patrick Kennedy, Undersecretary of state, who had asked his assistance in altering the email's classification in exchange for a "quid pro quo."

Now were getting closer. Examine that quote and point out the evidence that KENNEDY suggested the quid pro quo ? I don't see where it says which party suggested the quid pro quo.

And then, of course, you need to completely ignore the notes 2 pages later which spelled out the fact that the FBI AGENT offered a quid pro quo, not Kennedy.

I'll not hold my breath waiting for Kennedy to be prosecuted for your fantasy "overt act."

Wait are you suggesting another interpretation of "asked his assistance in altering the email's classification in exchange for a "quid pro quo."

Golly, we are ALL for it, lets see it!

By the way, great idea to "bury" your silly claims that "asking the FBI to declassify something so the scumbag could bury it" only happened in your fantasies."

Is there some way to communicate with <edited out>? He probably has every known liberal on ignore.
Maybe orange looks pretty and people are speechless as to its unbritalled beauty.... i dont know... but I'm pretty sure it neither saves on car insurance nor on options in clarifying federal law to avoid a repreat exploitation of personal email accounts with high level statesmen/women. Perhaps people simply ignore irrelevant extremeties and fashion statements

You didn't point out the evidence that KENNEDY suggested the quid pro quo, you pointed out how you interpreted it. Brilliant !:D

Clinton Lied about using one device, lots of other stuff...

Remember when Hillary claimed she wanted to set up her whole cowboy server for "convenience" and only wanted to use one device? She lied, she used multiple devices including blackberrys and IPad.

She also lied when she claimed She turned over all her work related emails.

we know this because Judicial watch wrenched out more documents that the FBI was able to recover after Hillary tried and failed to have them wiped.

http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-...pagliano-raise-new-questions-sworn-testimony/

The article takes a deep dive into her answers to interrogatories too, but there I think it was more likely that she could not remember anything because of her pervasive brain damage and not necessarily because she lied.

You can repeat it all you want, but we know for a fact Kennedy didn't ask for it, but the FBI did.

What's your point in repeating the lie that Kennedy asked for a "quid pro quo." :eye-poppi

I'm not ignoring it, I'm waiting for something more than Internet poutrage to happen. As I said, not holding my breath.

Damn straight! They show that every word that dribbles out of Hillary's maw about this issue is a lie.

Thank you Judicial watch!

In other words, rather than simply acknowledge that she took an unnecessary risk that reflected badly on her judgement you've argued that what she did actually had a net benefit.
If you read the OIG report, half the department was sloppy with their electronic transmissions. I remain 'not outraged'.

The legal argument may be about classified emails. The overall argument entails classified emails, policy standards, ethics, judgement, and FOIA. That's likely the hole in your argument

You said FOIA law was not workplace law. There is no evidence Clinton broke the FOIA law.

The state department being sloppy with their procedures doesnt change the fact that Clinton's actions were irresponsible. Now you can emphasize how "not outraged" you are... but theres no need for that. If you were outraged to begin with then there would be no reason for you to argue that she did nothing wrong.

You're free to believe what you want... i have no expectation of you being outraged over something you think didnt happen. But your argument remains separated from reality.

It took the discovery of her server set up for her to release anything in compliance with FOIA. So sure she complied after she was told to... but the convenient thing about having unannounced email systems is that when FOIA requests are submitted to the state department for such records they were able to say that such records did not exist. In fact. Thats what happened. Because the state department servers... the first place the records were sought at... did not have the records to begin with. Clinton had them at a different location

I can't see how it is muted much by the fact that the quid pro quo was first offered by the FBI. It is still a fact that the State Department, for an obvious and extremely illegitimate reason (i.e. protecting Hillary's candidacy), wanted to prevent as many emails as possible from being classified.

Obvious?

It isn't obvious to me. In fact, the "obvious" reason you cite doesn't make sense to me.

There were 110 emails with characteristics of that particular email (i.e. they were not classified, but during the FOIA review, it was determined they ought to be classified, so the FBI classified them.) If State had gotten what they wanted, there would be 109. I can't see a difference.

Also, it was classified during a FOIA review. That means that if it isn't classified, the public gets it. If it is classified, it stays hidden. Classifying documents is a great way to keep things out of the public eye.

So, to me, the most intriguing thing about the whole episode is what sort of "trouble" that email caused, and why would it be less trouble if it were unclassified. I hope somebody asks that of Patrick Kennedy, and I hope they get an answer, because it is puzzling to me, and there might be something juicy about it.

Right now though, it's a pretty big yawner.

This particular email was about Benghazi, and Kennedy wanted it declassified so he could with hold it from the foia production on the basis of the deliberation exception. He could not bury it where it was flagged as containing non dos intelligence.

Big yawner? More like active evidence of the cover up and the sneering contempt Hillary and her *********** goons had for governmental transparacy.

Well I'm not familiar with "deliberate exception". What is it?

On the other hand, if you want to bury something, there's no better way of burying it than marking it Secret. It becomes a crime to reveal the contents.

I have a certain familiarity with that sort of thing. My first job as an engineer was on the Strategic Defense Initiative. I dealt with a lot of Secret documents. My colleagues and I all agreed that with some of those documents there was not a lot of information that would interest the Russians, but there was certainly a lot of information that would have been of interest to the voters.
