I find posts like this this to be so incredibly amazing.

Just the other day it was announced that the universe may have over two trillion galaxies and yet some people still continue to quote from an ancient fairy book as if the ancient fairy book actually does describe the truth of the universe.

The god seems like kind of a pervert if he should be dealing with a universe of two trillion galaxies and all he's worried about is what people are doing with their trouser furniture.

Actually if you believe the Bible ALL human beings are the product of incest. Right from the get go, Yahweh only made 2 humans meaning that Cain, Abel, Seth, etc. had no choice but to have sex with their sisters if people were continue existing. Then of course there is the genetic bottleneck that is the Biblical Flood, when at best you're limited to sex with your first cousin, and at worst, sis or Auntie...eww.

Essentially, Yahweh set it up so that incest is unavoidable. Then he blames people for committing incest. He's a dick.

Remember, those rules were written by men who had concubines and / or multiple wives. They certainly weren't going to claim God was against something they enjoyed themselves!

It seems to me that this was written for people who were a bit thick. I mean who needs it spelled out to them that your fathers daughter is your sister.

In fairness to PaulBethke, at the time your father could have children by other women and were considered fair game, something about blood relatives on the mother's side or sharing the womb. Jewish Law was saying nah to this.
