I thought it was sincere. Chelsea is friends with Tiffany, the Clinton's and the Trumps had some social contacts. I would think Clinton knows the kids at least somewhat personally.

The non-disclosure requirement is part of her contract and applies to everybody except her. She owns the rights to her speeches and she can do whatever she wants with them.
Hillary’s typical contract forbids the public release of any recordings of the event and requires a stenographer selected by Hillary to transcribe the event and turn the notes over to her, so there’s nothing stopping her from releasing her speeches except fear of the political fallout.

Nope. This is backwards. Bob001 has it correct. It's an NDA(if that's what it's called, though I doubt it) that is part of Hillary protecting her IP (her speeches are her words and a book of the speeches of the first woman president will have some value, I'm sure) and applying her moderate paranoia to having people stalking her words and deeds for thirty years.

I stand corrected, and thus, agree with you that she should have just released them to show people that there isn't anything to worry about. However, she probably defaults to secretive because she's been the target of Republican witch-hunts since she first ran for public office.

The Frontline special on the 2016 election (called "Choice" IIRC) made the case that she was always secretive, and that trait got strengthened by her work in Washington before she married Bill and of course during the Lewinsky scandal.

One of my wives insisted she was a "private" person and did not want me talking about her or what she did.

After a few years it came out that she had scammed her siblings out of a portion of their inheritance. This led me to examine other "secrets" and I came to the conclusion that her "explanations" were covers for incidents that I was suspicious about.

We divorced - I do not like "secretive" because my experience is that it hides "unethical".

Yeah but be fair on the bloke Trump's never been secretive about grabbing an extra bit of pussy when married. If her indoors doesn't like it she can just ignore the front page of magazines or national. TV and radio shows!

At least with someone keeping their torrid affairs secret knows they are tossers!
