Here's a simpler version of the logical flaw in play:
1) I found a gun in his house, therefore he's a criminal.
2) Yeah, but lots of people have guns in their houses. The gun doesn't distinguish between criminal and not.
3) Wait a moment. I found stolen goods in the house too.
4) OK, that's evidence of criminality.
5) And, don't forget, he had a gun!

Your reasoning would be valid if your analogy wasn't so poor.

The "gun" and the "stolen goods" are not completely unrelated to each other nor merely cobbled together to create an appearance of guilt.

They directly inform one another as part of a bigger picture.

My understanding is that the Dem party was asking for this extension, thus a victory for the Dem party.

Florida Democrats requested the extension which was opposed by the Florida GOP specifically Gov. Scott who initially denied the request. The Democrats won. Specifically the GOP is having registration issues in Florida:

-Dem party submitted 6,920

I can understand victims not wanting to speak out and draw the torrent of vile abuse and slander Trump will inevitably hurl at them, and I entirely sympathise.

Yes, she accused him of rape at one point. She later recanted, for reasons that are unclear but certainly could have to do with money.

It's plausible that he's a rapist. It is not at all certain he's a rapist.

I don't think it's reasonable to apply different standards to Trump than one would apply to politicians he favors. Just give it a rest. There are so, so many reasons not to vote for Trump that we needn't pretend we know whether or not he raped his own wife. We don't know. We can't know.
