I am not so sure this is the end.

But, I have a great track record of being wrong.

Guy speaks off the cuff in a bull session. Don't think it automatically eradicates populist support - everybody does this, right? Donald is just more candid. To soon IMO to call it. It's been bad before; he soldiers on.

ETA: Though, after actually hearing it on his mike, yikes.

ETA2: Thought his response was rather adroit, myself. I'm still not quite sure this is a death watch.

He needs more than his crazy moron followers to win.

Another interesting question will be how Melania Trump reacts. She had been married to Trump less than a year. When she discovers that nine months after her wedding, he was already trying tho have sex with other women, will she dump him? Will her eyeballs light up with dollar signs about the size of her settlement? Will she blackmail him? Or will she stand by him like Hillary did with her husband?

Here's the "apology" It's "nothing more than a distraction."

No matter what happens, he thinks he can just go on TV and say something and through the sheer force of his personality people will buy into whatever he spews.

That, to me, is what is really horrific in this episode. His "apology" showed the same sort of contempt for other people that the tape itself showed. He thinks nothing of people, and thinks he can just brush it off.

Is he done? Is this race over? I hope so. It should have been a long time ago. When he called Carly Fiorrina ugly, it should have been over. When he retweeted the unflattering image of Ted Cruz' wife, it should have been over. When he said we should have taken the oil, it should have been over. I really hope that, this time, it's over.

Well, for the diehard supporters this is probably a plus (not to their wifes and daughters though), hell, probably the n-word would be, but the campaign is already in trouble and needs desperately more support from independents and white women - and with these remarks (and actions) he is likely to get killed exactly there.

Shades of Jimmy Savile in celebrity as licence to grope and root anyone who takes your fancy.

An unconvincing but actual apology that sounds like a canned speech read off the teleprompter.

If his biggest complaint about the release of this tape is that it happened "a decade ago", why does he insist on going on and on about something Bill Clinton (who's not running) did more than two decades ago?

You don't think she already knows her husband is like this? He had sex with her before his divorce from Maples didn't he? He certainly had sex with Maples before his first divorce. She'd have to be really stupid not to know Trump would have sex with anyone anytime if their breasts were big enough.

The news is an odd duck. Trump had one scandal after another and they brushed it off. MSNBC is now treating this one like somehow it's worth 24 hour coverage, heck it's even preempting the hurricane.

I want to see if this results in Trump losing a deep red state, specifically Utah. Utah is about as Republican state as you one can imagine but the Mormons in particular hate this kind of vulgarity. Trump got creamed in the Utah primary. Still, it would still surprise me if Hillary won Utah, but it wouldn't surprise me at all that Gary Johnson ended up winning that State.

Because he's reading off the teleprompter. :sdl:

Looks like he is going to bring up Bill at the debate in a pathetic attempt to distract from this. What a moron.

"It was ten years ago when I was dumb, horny, nearly 60 years old, and newly married to my third wife. I've matured since."

LOL

Scottie Nell Hughes on CNN looks like she's about to bawl, all while answering every question with "Clinton, Clinton, Clinton".

She's a nutcase, isn't she? I change the channel when she's on because she's so predictably bad at what she does.

Yes, but the stakes just went higher. Now she has been humiliated, and what she might have privately known becomes public fodder. No, it's not because she didn't know it was going on, but rather that if she stays together without so much as a peep, it makes her look like a whore, and few women want that kind of reputation.

Also, what will Ivanka say, if anything.

She also now has some leverage against him to get a nice fat settlement. Prenup? What prenup?
