But didn't Trump say that he wasn't actually sniffling and that it seemed like he was because of a malfunctioning mic?

This malfunction doesn't create a sniffle sound.

Congrats. He said the mic was malfunctioning, at it appears that it was.

That said, he still performed poorly in the debate, and his sniffles have nothing to do with it. Is he such a diva that sound levels disrupt his ability to form cogent and convincing answers to questions? Is the public so pathetic that differing sound levels are the reason that they believe Hillary was capable of sound argument and Donald was not?

Anyway, never mind. Revel in this remarkable victory. His mic did indeed have certain sound levels mis-set or something. (To be sure, all this crap about sniffles was inconsequential, humorous only because of his irrepressible need to deny that he sniffled.)

and the statement put out said it affected sound levels inside the debate hall.

I think it's a fair assumption the majority of people here watched it on TV.

To be fair, if it affected sound levels in the debate hall, that explains why Trump noticed a problem and viewers did not. And it could (very moderately) affect performance, as he tried to compensate for that problem.

I don't know about other people, but it's the words said, the arguments used, that I try to focus on. I recognize that interpersonal skills are important for a president, but that's not how I care to place the weight of my judgment.
 
Trumps team agreed and signed off the debate environment before hand.

Either Trump can't even hire a person to check it properly or he is stupid for not bringing it up DURING the debate or he is just making excuses for making a complete hash of it

He is completely powerless against a slight technical malfunction and has been baited into suggesting that his arguments are supported by porn.

That's the definition of Presidential in 2016.
 
We can write off the accusation that Trump made up the microphone problem so he could whine about it; he may, in fact, have believed it. It's no loss against the mountain of other material we have to work with.

If the concession is celebrated as a tremendous win by the Trump party it'll say something about their temperament and the situation they find themselves in.

That actually isn't the issue, the issue is whether the speaker perceived it was off and it was.

He really has been encouraging the populatione to watch porn. I, for one, find that quite remarkable.

Of course, I did grow up in less vulgar times.
