From oldest to newest:

"Wow, did you see how badly @CNN (Clinton News Network) is doing in the ratings. With people like @donlemon, who could expect any more?"

"Anytime you see a story about me or my campaign saying "sources said," DO NOT believe it. There are no sources, they are just made up lies!"

"Wow, Crooked Hillary was duped and used by my worst Miss U. Hillary floated her as an "angel" without checking her past, which is terrible!"

"Using Alicia M in the debate as a paragon of virtue just shows that Crooked Hillary suffers from BAD JUDGEMENT! Hillary was set up by a con."

"Did Crooked Hillary help disgusting (check out sex tape and past) Alicia M become a U.S. citizen so she could use her in the debate?"

I posted yesterday that Trump was stupid because of Khan and Machado. He keeps proving me right. The man has the self control of a 2 year old.

My hypothesis is that this is all about the SCOTUS. There's just no other reason that would make any sense whatsoever.

Of course it is about SCOTUS. People like sunmaster14 don't care in slighest about him otherwise, as his Totally Not a Coup I Swear remarks show.

I know pop-psychology ain't worth spit, but watching Trump unload on a woman he does dare bully gets me thinking that he was intimidated by Hillary Clinton on the night and it's been rankling. I don't think he has the self-awareness to realise it, of course, but it looks that way to me. Another reason to think he'll find an excuse to pull out of the other debates.

Oi vey.

I can see it now, a bunch of ignorant rednecks starting a riot because they can't vote - because they're not registered.

The deck was stacked! Killary cheated!!

I'm suddenly remembering an episode of Underdog in which the villain Simon Bar Sinister ran for dictator, and then prevented everyone but himself and his sidekick from voting. In the end he was defeated because neither of them had actually registered to vote.

When real life starts to resemble a cartoon from the `60s, it's time to get scared.

If he wins, he's going to sweep in a cadre of like minded Teabaggers with him. Unless they're willing to turn against Trump for the greater good of party and Country, he's not in any danger of impeachment until the mid-term elections are over. Even then, the odds are in his favor. He has a long track record of abusing whatever power he has. Do you think for one red hot second he won't use government resources to attack and destroy anyone who poses a threat to his power during the mid-term elections?

That gets us to the second term election. He's going to have a sympathetic congress, a SCOTUS whose inconvenient rulings are being ignored, and a government he's packed to the gills with his stooges and lickspittles. As long as he stays on good terms with Russia, he'll also have their hackers working to dig up dirt on Trump's opposition.

It will be during the second term that Trump will decide if he wants to pus for a constitutional amendment to allow him to run for a third term.

When he finally leaves office, the consequences will be similar to the ones faced by the businesses he leaves. Once the blustering idiot barking orders leaves, the gilding will flake off the turds and everyone will finally see the **** that everything has already gone to. Trump and his lickspittles will blame whoever comes after Trump.

Given his age and the stress of the presidency, he'll likely die of age related illnesses before the *************** he left behind is cleaned up enough to even THINK about going after him for all the laws he broke while in office, assuming we haven't just splintered, shattered and been divided up between neighboring counties.

I think I have made my dislike of Trump clear, and I think he would be a horrible president, but predicting the end of the world if he is elected is a bit much. I know you are probably just venting, but still.....

So damn stupid. Doesn't he understand that there is NOTHING TO GAIN in saying these things about a beauty queen? Total Moron.

Donald was a known quantity when she signed up. Besides you can't do much campaign managing from a green room. This is the type of crap Bannon has made a career out of peddling to deplorables.

Can someone explain Conway to me? Like, why would she take this job?

She was a rising start in the GOP. She was respected on the talk show circuit. Relative to some of her predecessors and contemporaries, she seems to be fairly competent. She's not a true believer. She was pretty critical of Junior prior to taking the job. Wasn't she a Cruz supporter?

Why did she join this campaign that:

1) has a candidate that is unmanageable (maybe her ego got her thinking she could rope him in)

2) is filled with novices in a constant pissing contest

3) already fired 2 campaign managers

4) At the same time, hired 2 more people she has to answer to on top of the candidate and his kids

5) Is centered around a guy known for stiffing the people who work for him. In fact, it had already come to light the scam he was running

6) is so obviously going to sink anyone associated with it

Ailes and Bannon I get. They are media guys. Ailes is unemployed and Bannon wants to make the big time. Neither of them seem to be hindered by morals or ethics, so hitching to Junior's campaign can't hurt them. In fact, if he is trying to launch a news network, this is a good move for them (other than that whole attempting to launch a brand in a dying industry thing).

But Conway probably could have done more. She could have been a player in American politics for decades. Does she think she'll be the Bill O'Reilly/Larry King/Tomi Lahren/Chris Matthews of whatever disaster of a news network Junior is going to launch with Ailes and Bannon? Can she be that gullible? What was she promised?

Thanks for bringing back a memory from my childhood. Classic.

It won't hurt any of them. In fact it's likely to help most of them. It's Trump. It's a job. Lots of publicity. With the exception of maybe Christie who has zero chance of being reelected in NJ. I want to know what the hell was he thinking when they launched Bridgegate?

Not drunk flying.

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association publishes a magazine, in which there is a monthly column called "Pilot Counsel".

This is the first that came up on a Google search:

https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2015/may/pilot/counsel

Read it if you have time. This is about a pilot who believed maintenance had been done, which had in fact been done, just not properly signed off. And a suspension of his license for that oversight.

Again, well short of drunk flying. The column exists to educate pilots on the intricacies of aviation law and how many pilots find their licenses suspended , or even revoked, for what sometimes appear to be quite minor and innocent mistakes.

Anyway, we're pretty far afield from the topic at hand. The above is merely to respond to your assertion that in all sorts of professions people are routinely not charged with relatively minor transgressions. I'm just pointing out that at least one profession is.
It's just what I thought, you are talking about knowingly willfully violating a safety law, ie fraud.

If that log had simply been missing entries, it may not have resulted in a suspension (not criminal anyway). How many times are maintenance deficiencies found and what happens then.

Clearly it is common.
Incomplete or missing records will greatly impact the value and your ability to sell an aircraft. We have seen missing blocks of time or missing logbooks impact the value of a used aircraft as much as 25 to 30 percent. For a $50,000 aircraft that figure is $12,500; double that for a $100,000 aircraft. Hard to believe isn't it? Consider this: we recently assisted in the sell of a Piper Warrior. The aircraft was valued at $30,000 with compete records. Without the records the aircraft was on the market three times as long as we would normally seen and it finally sold for $20,000- a third less its value. The owner was forced to reduce the price significantly in order to move the aircraft.

Conway is not a journalist; she works in Political Campaigns for a living.Trump offered her huge salary.
Besides, she has a get out of jail free card if Trump loses; She can claim that Trump did well when he followed her advice, but self destructed by falling off the wagon and ignoring her advice.

It really depends on how she spins out of this at the end.

Or, she may have sought guidance from the establishment GOP and they may have asked her to take one for the team. See if you can right the ship, since this is the ship we got.

Either way, she hasn't really gone whole hog or become a true believer, so I think she can honestly walk away saying she tried to be a positive influence on the campaign and was thwarted at every opportunity.

So long as she got paid up front I think she will be fine in the long run. Doesn't make her mornings any easier.
