"It’s funny to think about that now, considering how Knox — and the brutal murder with which she’s associated — is now arguably the most famous figure from Perugia’s centuries-long history."
Amanda Knox puts 2300 year old city on the map....all because of a cartwheel....
Wow, the PR campaign even paid off the Guardian! Or is it the mafia who paid them off? I can't keep track of who's buying off who this week.
It's not difficult. 60% of what you read in the press is the result of a 'press release'.
Guess what? From a PR agency.
And you thought you were being sarcastic.![]()

How lovely for her to get to line her pockets!

I also laughed...at lying Clinton. She is positively disgraceful and should hang her head in shame over Benghazi. Her as president makes me feel ill.
Off topic but just answering.
Citation for that "60%", please.
I won't wait up. I just love made up statistics.
I went to a seminar a few years ago given by a leading journalist. The figure he gave was higher than that.
Knox was on "Good Morning America" this morning. In the brief interview with Robin Roberts about the coming netflix documentary, Knox was asked outright, why go the documentary route? The real money would have been in a film!Ahhh! The impeccable sourcing of evidence that we've come to expect!!
And in any case, it's entirely moot in this instance since obviously there have been press screenings and copies sent out to credible media outlets for review. The person reviewing the movie for the Guardian will, without a shadow of doubt, have seen the film. And since it's the film that is the subject of his review, there's really nothing more to say.
Or does Vixen really believe in her own head that journalists publishing reviews of this film have not actually seen the film and made their own minds up, but have instead been sent press releases saying something like: "The new "Amanda Knox" film shows just how much injustice was inflicted upon Knox and Sollecito, illuminates the grandiose egomaniacal moralistic fervour of Mignini, and shows just what a comically nasty piece of work Pisa is. Write something along those lines in your review, OK?"
Lol.

I saw that one and thought it was interesting and completely believable, since the PIP have always known the cops were Waco to get Amanda form the start.Another very interesting review of the film, this time with a fascinating piece of personal observation by the author:

The article was written by a reporter who was actually sent out to Perugia to meet up with and assist Nick Pisa.
Caso chiuso.

The article was written by a reporter who was actually sent out to Perugia to meet up with and assist Nick Pisa. The following passage is extremely interesting:
"Then something happened which I've thought about countless times since. An Italian journalist told us the police already had a suspect: 'the American housemate', as they called Knox. How could they have reached such a dramatic conclusion just a day after finding Meredith's body? When Nick called a senior detective, he confirmed police were questioning Knox. Three days later, she was arrested, along with her boyfriend Raffaelle Sollecito, and both were charged with murder and sexual violence."
Either this journalist is lying or mistaken, or (as we all reasonably suspect) the police and PM homed in on Knox breathtakingly early on - by late on 3rd November. It makes a mockery of the continuing claims of pro-guilt commentators (and others such as Mignini) that Knox was simply a witness - the same as every other housemate or friend of Kercher's - by the time she came in for the infamous 5th/6th November interrogation.
