Presidential Debates

It's going to be interesting to watch SNL this weekend. Alec Baldwin as Trump and Kate McKinnon as Hillary. Should be fun. But I preferred Amy Poehler as Hillary. Should be fun.

I read where Trump said he will change his strategy (?) and next time he will "hit her harder." I don't necessarily buy that. That the way for Trump to win votes is to bash Hillary Clinton with the result he looks better by comparison. He needs to explain his plans in detail.

The other thing I don't get is, he also reportedly said, next time he will "bring up" Bill's infidelities. How is that going to work? For someone who is on his third marriage, with a history of multiple extramarital affairs, who once told Howard Stern that contracting venereal disease was an unfortunate but inevitable consequence of his 'lusty' lifestyle. Hillary wasn't the philanderer, her husband was. But I don't think even Bill Clinton is a match for Donald Trump when it comes to cheating on the wife.

How does raising this whole issue help Trump? Except this idea he seems to have that if you can belittle and ridicule your opponent on personal grounds that makes you a more attractive presidential candidate.
He should also realise that Clinton's minders will have already anticipated this and prepared some sort of defense, if not another bear-pit for Trump to walk himself into like they did in the first debate. Then again, maybe the hubris is strong enough for him to STILL not realise or accept the "master dealmaker" just got out-negotiated. In public. Bigly.

At some point I'd like to hear Trump explain details about some of his plans. Scrapping NAFTA for instance. There may be some problems with it -- I'm sure it's not a perfect deal (didn't the Canadians have some problems with it too during negotiations?) -- but how exactly will Trump "fix it?" I'd like to hear him go into enough detail to convince me he knows what the hell he's talking about. Because I don't think he does and I'm sure I've got a lot of company.
We can all hope, and have done so since the beginning of his campaign last year. However Hillary put the finger on it: He has no plans. Like the debates, he intends to "wing it" if he becomes president. Lunacy, of course.

We now have four scientific polls on who won the debate:

Morning Consult: Clinton +23
YouGov: Clinton +27
CNN: Clinton +35
PPP: Clinton +11

CNN has admitted that the response rate from Democrat leaning voters was through the roof in the immediate aftermath of the debate so they had a much larger than usual sample size of them.

You gotta remember: In misogynist land, a woman's only job is to be as desirable as is needed to keep her man from looking at other women. So, if Bill was looking, it was all Hillary's fault. Trump doesn't realize that most people don't live in misogynist land.

A CT backing Trump is not so nuts if you think about it...

Of course not but still that one tells you just how far off the reservation some of these people are. Look, she touched her nose! She must be signaling the moderator? Koo Koo.

Trump should have known that Lester Holt would concentrate on his weaknesses and not Hillarys. He could have pounded them up but he didn't.

Also, after the first time she called him Donald, he should have started calling her Hillary, despite the debate strategy which obviously called for him to be calm and respectful.

I'm not voting for the guy I'm just saying.
