Trump runs for POTUS / Trumped Up! Part V

I said highschool bully. Both are trollish, but mark Cuban is a more adult pick that actually relates to areas where Trump lacks. Trump's pick is somebody bill cheated with.
Comes back to an ugly truth at the heart of some republicans if a woman is a wife she is defined by what her husband does and does not do.

If a woman is a mistress she's just a piece of ass. If she's a great piece of ass she might become a wife. I'm searching for an example ...

I am really having a hard time imaging Trump saying "Now that I am saved, I will tithe to the church. And of course I mean gross income and not net income."
Which church?

Oh, the best church. Of course. Silly me. The one that has "TRUMP" down its spires and Jesus crucified on the T. A Jesus who looks remarkably like Donald.

The great thing is that in Paleo World they've got to rad educated voters.
Trump just can't make connections, can he? He sees this tactic simply in terms of this occasion.

*Ever notice that Cuban, who's said the worst and meanest things about Trump, doesn't get the lawsuits? Trump sues Betty Sue Miss USA contestant or John The Reporter from Dubuque. He's not going after anyone with his resources, but people he can cower with his phalanx of attorneys and his money.
Good point.

Could you give just one (perhaps the most concrete) example of what you think Trump might do as president that would constitute his uniquely dangerous likelihood of damaging the country?
Black guy is killed by white cops (yes, I know, but stay with me). Protesters come onto streets. Trump gets on camera and says "We're gonna get tough". Protester dies that evening.

Substitute any situation where a President could spout off without any intelligent consideration and turn a tricky situation bad - foreign or domestic. Trump, with his thin-film intellect, will be capable of it.

Granting all that without rebuttal, you make my point: we survived 8 years of Bush2, we can take 4 years of Trump.

Remember, I'm not arguing Trump would be a good president, nor that he is a better candidate than Hillary. Just that it isn't doom and gloom and a nightmare, end-of-the-world scenario.

Georgie Bush had the "nooclar" football. Senile Reagan had it. Kim Jong Un has a version. Pakistan and India have theirs. And I'm supposed to worry about Trump?

Those who made such assumptions in the past saw the two major ideologies of last century wreak unthinkable and unexpected degrees of havoc, regardless. Nightmares are only a closed eye away, always waiting just under the surface in the human psyche.

Just saw this bit of stupidity from Jr.

Eric Trump: Dad started with nothing

Washington (CNN) Eric Trump on Friday defended his father's self-made real estate mogul narrative, saying the Republican presidential nominee was the epitome of the American dream for having "gone from just about nothing" to become a successful real estate mogul in New York.

Just about nothing. What a doosh.

hey - you trying to get a decent penthouse in New York for less than $100 million...

Of course, young Donald had it tough:
He lived for three months in a brown paper bag in a septic tank. He used to have to get up at six o'clock in the morning, clean the bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down mill for fourteen hours a day week in-week out. When he got home, his Dad would thrash him to sleep with his belt!

Tell that to his blindly partisan supporters today and they will believe you.

The great thing is that in Paleo World they've got to ratchet up the defense and pretend this is a brilliant strategy.

Not sure about Paleo World, but it's quite a leap from "wry smile*" to "brilliant strategy".

But as a strategy, whether or not she shows up, look at what we're talking about. Maybe not "brilliant" so much as "fiendishly clever".

*For full effect, imagine my "wry smile" accompanied by a head shake and a rolling of the eyes, and I think you may capture my full reaction to the Flowers Gambit. The whole shebang has reminded me of "Idiocracy" since very early on.

To all the Amercans casting their vote. I really have no horse in the race, but I would advice you to study the elections in India two years ago. Some of the strategies deployed then by the current party in power very strongly parallels the strategy deployed by the orange one's campaign team. There is also similarity in the empty bombast of their campaign platforms...build a temple, protect cows, nuke our neighbours, impose religious doctrine in schools, "development" (trans. enrich a couple of his benefactors), remove affirmative action, and more. Considering that a US based PR firm handled the current Prime Minister's campaign, this may not be surprising. However, the fact of the matter is that all is not currently well in India.

I was wondering if you'd go there, but thought not. Then you surprise me. Rather than tell you how you're wrong with the knowledge that most anyone would accept the simple explanation, I'll go right into the more in-depth one.

Trump is running in large part on his abilities as a well-regarded and successful business man. Mark Cuban, who is actually a very successful business man (much, much more successful than Trump). Cuban also argues against Trump's business acumen. His view is pertinent.

No it's not. First of all, Cuban is no great businessman himself. He's something of a clown. His first success was selling a crappy internet startup to Compuserve. His second was selling Broadcast.com at a wildly inflated valuation to Yahoo at the height of the internet bubble. Compuserve and Yahoo - 'nuff said. Since then, he has basically been treading water wealth wise. His feud started with Trump when Trump disparaged The Benefactor, which was Cuban's failed copycat of Trump's successful reality show The Apprentice. Honestly, given Cuban's behavior as the owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, and his recent trolling of Trump, I don't see how Cuban is any less of a jackass than Trump is. Second of all, at this point I would have to say Trump is far more successful than Cuban. Cuban might have more money, but Trump has a 40% chance of becoming the most powerful person on the planet. And Cuban's lack of political power is not do to a lack of desire. He simply knows that he wouldn't get very far if he tried to jump into the political arena.

His status alone explains why he might be in the audience. His fame and the reasons for his interests don't need additional justification. That he's a vocal critic of Trump is not the only plausible reason he's going to be there (although obviously it is the reason he's going to be there).

His status might explain why he would be in the audience, but given that he was bragging about being in the front row, given his trolling of Trump, given his behavior when he is in the front row at Dallas Mavericks basketball games, I think it's pretty clear what his reason for being there is. And it would put Trump at a disadvantage. Hell, what's to stop Cuban from actually disrupting the debate? Even the prospect of him disrupting the debate is disruptive. And, his presence also gives the press an opportunity to opine on his opinions of Trump while a large fraction of the electorate is watching. Balancing that with an equivalently provocative invitation is a perfectly logical strategy for Trump.

Hillary Clinton is running in large part on her husband's fidelity. Wait, no, that's absurd and stupid. She's running on her ability to pick quality sexual partners. Wait, no, that's also absurd and stupid. She's running on her husband's ability to pick quality sexual partners. Wait, no, that's also absurd and stupid. Flowers' experience is simply not related to the race.

Sure it is. Bill is not just Hillary's husband by the way. He is her political partner. Hillary played an active role in defending Bill (and using dishonesty and threats to do so), and Bill has played an active role in Hillary's campaign and will likely play an active role in her administration, if she wins. Furthermore, the Gennifer Flowers scandal represents the first time, but by no means the last time, that Hillary lied to the American people on national TV. It's a fresh reminder of Hillary's character as much as Bill's.

<snip>

It will backfire.

No, it won't. It will force negotiations to move Cuban to a less conspicuous area of the debate audience, or not show up at all. You'll see.

What lie was that?

Gennifer Flowers lies for monetary gain.

There was no 12 year affair. That only happened in Flowers' mind.
1977.

She is not showing up now. How sad.
Maybe she does not want the facts to come out about her cynical monetizing of her made up affair.

Trump must believe what he reads in The Star.
They are the ones who paid her for her story while putting her up in a hotel in New York.

How stupid for a serial philanderer (proud and public about it too) to bring in a woman
from 1977.

As far as Trump being trolled, well, his response classic Trump.
Pathetic.

If Trump were a fully developed grown, mature man, it would not bother
him at all.

Why should what Cuban says about anything matter to Trump?
Is it because Cuban changed his mind about Trump?

Just the idea that poor Trump is being "trolled" by Cuban sounds like
ridiculous. Sad that a billionaire presidential candidate has to be
protected from this possible disadvantage of maybe disrupting the debates.

Sure, equivalently provocative invitation.
Leave it to Trump to think it is equivalent to use a woman to hurt a woman. A woman from 39 years ago.
They are all just cat fighting bitches, right?

This whole thing is just another glimpse into the psyche of Trump.
When he has a choice, he chooses the low road.
