Trump runs for POTUS / Trumped Up! Part V

You know you are worried when you start dreaming about Trump...:(

And what better place to discuss dream interpretation than a forum where most members think dreams are meaningless! :o

So...my dream this morning, in which I was a passive observer and non participant:

President (I guess this is a prophetic dream..) Trump is visiting this prison in some foreign country (Syria??) because his two sons are imprisoned there for war crimes. A band of inmates kidnap him and are complaining to him about their treatment (torture) at the hands of jail guards. They refer to him using the epithet "Billionaire!" He responds, "I know, I hired one of them!"
Then, one of the guards, who is in cahoots with the inmates, and is apparently George W Bush, seizes Trump and begins to carry him down a long tunnel into the bowels of the prison. Trump seizes the opportunity and reaches upward to grab a ceiling panel. He uses the panel to knock Bush to the ground--then, he does a handstand (which he has been practicing for months) on the panel to increase the downwards force on Bush, who then suffocates and dies...
Unfortunately, this is when I woke up... :boggled:

Discuss! :)

Do what? Resurrect the Brady Bill? That's as far as I see her going, and wouldn't matter ****-all for the guns I have in my house.

I like the idea that both participants in the debate being bound by the same rules is somehow an advantage for "the liberal". I wonder what logger thinks that says about the conservative participant's ability or knowledge.

Why do I get the feeling that it's the other way around? "Um, sir? There's this little thing called Freedom of the Press."

And why is it taking so long for the failing NYT to go belly up? It's like those "Going Out of Business" sales that go on for years.

I wouldn't be proud of that if I was a liberal. If American liberalism doesn't want to take guns, or elect a president that does, that would mean the American left is to the right of European or Australian moderates. That is embarrassing. I would be ashamed to have my candidate in public.

I doubt that anyone who has posted in this thread in support of Trump thinks that Trump would come close to winning a debate against Clinton (or Cuban or Barney the Dinosaur) purely on the specifics of policy issues. It's not necessary. He'll 'rely on advisors' or 'learn that later'. It's exactly because Trump's weak on this that it doesn't matter. Ability and knowledge will become important again in 2020 when the Republican party breaks their new millennium duck and actually put up a decent candidate for Potus.

Now it's "anything"? Does this mean you agree her stormtroopers won't be kicking down your doors in the middle of the night to grab your guns?

No it wouldn't gun control legislation and enactment in countries like the UK is not a left/right issue.
