The All Purpose Hillary Clinton Thread

This is a really big deal and I'm sure why Democrats aren't playing up their support of ACA.

Patients burst into tears at this city’s glistening new charity hospital*when they learned they could get Medicaid health insurance.

In Baton Rouge, state officials had to bring in extra workers to process the flood of applications for coverage.

And at the call center for one of Louisiana’s private Medicaid plans, operators recorded their busiest day on record.

The outpouring began in June, when*Louisiana became the 31st*state to offer expanded Medicaid coverage through the Affordable Care Act, effectively guaranteeing health insurance to its residents for the first time.

Now, as Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump promises*to repeal the healthcare law,*Louisiana is emerging as a powerful illustration of the huge pent-up demand for health insurance, particularly*in red states where elected officials have fought*the 2010 law.

I think they've been ceded the ground on ACA and they don't think they have to bally-hoo it too much. I do believe it will be in targeted ads and mailings, though. The Dems have an awesome database and know where the people are who are going to consider protecting ACA and Medicare a priority. I'm going to guess that will include the states like [previously] Louisiana where the GOP is blocking it and people are getting screwed.
 
Clinton will also have an advantage during the campaign of having so many big names canvassing the country, holding rallies and meetings, to push for her to be President. Off the top of my head . . .

Bill Clinton,
Obama,
Tim Kaine,
Bernie Sanders,
Joe Biden,
maybe Elizabeth Warren
heck, maybe get Perez out there too.

That group can cover a lot of ground and shore up support. Arizona is a close call, Kaine and Perez could help out there. New Hampshire? Have Sanders hold some rallies. Georgia? Maybe Bill or Obama could nudge it blue. Clinton could have a solid team going across the country to gain votes for the Democrats.

As for Trump he has Mike Pence and . . . Newt? Chris Christie?

From a Georgia perspective, anyone here likely to be swayed by Obama or Bill would be already in favor of Hillary. She'd be better served with someone like a moderate Republican. No name springs to mind right now, though.

My bold. You can't think of any, because they've all been run out of the party.

I grew up as a moderate, perhaps liberal Republican. I could see myself becoming one again, if such a thing was allowed to exist.

If Trump gets any crazier maybe Romney or Jeb will step up. Stranger things have happened this election cycle.
 
While looking up some stuff about the Democratic Party Super Delegates, I found some rather interesting information....

Who knows who Hillary and Bill used their Super Delegate votes for in 2008?

Who knows who Bernie Sanders used his Super Delegate Vote for 2016?

The answers might be surprising, or not. Too me it does provide interesting comment.

Where would be the fun in that?

Hillary and Bill, along with all of the Democratic Representatives and the other Senator for New York, and also the entire block of Democratic Representatives and Senators, and the Governor for Arkansas, a block of 32 votes, all switched their Super Delegate Vote from Hillary to Obama.

Bernie, surprise, surprise, voted for himself.

But as we all know, Hillary is the narcissistic one that hate anyone that stands against her and plots their downfall and destruction.....

I'm not sure how the HDS people will spin that she and Bill got two blocks of their most loyal voters to follow them in switching over to Obama, a pretty classy thing to do when she actually had a case that she'd won the popular vote, while Saint Bernie who was demolished in the primaries showed nothing of the sort, though I am sure they will figure it out.

Thank the FSM the stupid GOP's courting of the one-issue ignorant voters came to fruition this year to backfire against their sadly too effective campaign to slur Clinton.

Meanwhile, Crooked Hillary can't even handle the rigors of campaigning without collapsing -- she's a physical train wreck.

“Most folks up here detest Trump and won’t vote for him, but dislike her intensely at the same time. Ah, well the country will decide,” Powell wrote.

In the same message, he mocked the GOP nominee’s ham-handed attempts to reach out to minority communities, writing, “Trump just looks stupid trying to appeal to blacks and Latinos.”

That being said, this doesn't smell right. I've never heard Powell use this kind of language. It seems out of character. Maybe this is just the difference between his public persona and private communications.

eta: I looked into it and apparently this email leak is a thing and the emails are legitimately Powell's.

The New York Post? Well I guess it is a step up from Infowars and the National Enquirer, but not a very big one.
