But don't you see, the outrage and huge media coverage is actually going to work in Donald's favor. Because reasons.

I don't understand these kind of arguments, provided on this forum by sunmaster14 and others.
It is one thing to argue this won't affect Trump negatively (it did) or that he will get away with that (he may still indeed, even if things right now look very badly for him), but arguing that he actually will have any gains from that is just some whole new level of delusional thought.
We all know that saying about shooting your own foot. In case of Trump, it is more like him shoving nuke in his nether regions and detonating that.
But... That statement is utterly ridiculous in hindsight. She wasn't even close.
It's like saying "A lump of clay would be unbeatable if it got the nomination," then trying to deflect criticism by emphasizing the conditional. It's just a transparent attempt to save face.
Thank you for listing some putative accomplishments in the thread. Finally. I plan to discuss, although not at the moment.
I love that Carly is doing so well that the Dems have now painted a bullseye on her back. That's a good sign. They have reason to be fearful of Carly. If she were to get the Republican nomination, she would be unbeatable.
As for the claim that HP cleverly evaded sanctions to sell printers and computers to Iran, I couldn't care less. First of all, Carly's fiduciary duty was to shareholders. She had no obligation to the US government except to comply with the law, which she did. [Which, by the way, is something that Hillary cannot say. Well, actually she can say it, but she'd be lying, as usual.] Second of all, HP's printers were overpriced, and their computers kind of sucked back then. So it probably hurt Iran. If Iran had bought tens of thousands of color inkjet printers, they would have quickly been bankrupted by having to replace the cartridges every week.
Furthermore, I think most political pundits would probably agree that virtually every Republican candidate other than Donald Trump and perhaps Ted Cruz would mop the floor with Hillary in the general election.
Settle down, Beavis.
Personally, I judge people by a certain threshold of pants-on-fieriness. Trump has crossed that threshold and now everything he states I assume to be a lie (or delusion, or a bloodclot in the brain) until conclusively proven otherwise. He has lost the benefit of the doubt. I feel his past history has tipped the scales of skepticism so the burden of proof is upon the side trying to prove he isn't lying his orange fungus butt off.
What in your opinion makes this an "anti-establishment election year?"She is the quintessential establishment candidate in an anti-establishment election year.
Furthermore, I think most political pundits would probably agree that virtually every Republican candidate other than Donald Trump and perhaps Ted Cruz would mop the floor with Hillary in the general election. Admittedly, Hillary has proven to be an even more tainted candidate than expected, but still, she was known to be weak even in September.
What I especially like about all this is in the next Presidential election, the GOP will be facing an entirely different Hillary. Next time you will have to face an incumbent President You better hope she doesn't do a good job or none of those losers the GOP rolled out in this election will stand a chance.
I don't believe this is true or even close to being true. That said the GOP base wasn't the least bit interested In selecting a nominee with a solid chance of winning. Kasich by far offered the best chance of winning for the GOP. But instead the GOP's top 2 choices were the least electable. And that base picked the one who is totally ******* crazy.

It's not even that, it's the damage he could do to Republicans in 2016 congressional races. You better hope she doesn't do a good job or none of those losers the GOP rolled out in this election will stand a chance.

Are you at all concerned that a organized terrorist attack by Muslim extremists might occur in a swing state a week before the election? Or do you think Trump will be down too many points to ride that incident into victory?
You can bet that over the next 2 months there will be Republican candidates for Congress who will take a pass on appearing with Trump at campaign stops. Incumbents in particular will have little to gain and lots to lose by linking themselves with that nutjob. It's not even that, it's the damage he could do to Republicans in 2016 congressional races.
Understand I am a Hillary supporter and have been most of this election cycle, but I think you are discounting Sunmaster's premise a bit prematurely. If a Kasich or a Jeb Bush, with a properly run, typical campaign organisation was running against Hillary, given the private server, Dir. Comey sound-bites, a properly run RNC and even the hacked DNC email stuff currently on the table, Hillary would be in a pretty tough fight by now. She has lots of weaknesses. Most of them fabricated by 30+ years of being a right-wing punching bag, but like it or not, they exist.
She is incredibly lucky to be running against Trump.
"Remember my brother? I'm the slightly smarter, more bland version."I'm Jeb not George is the campaign slogan?

But I bet he can actually pronounce "nucular"
Jimmy Carter can't, and he's a nukyular engineer who was elected president!
