The difference between the DNC and RNC is competence. The former successfully stacked the deck against Bernie. The latter attempted to stack it against Trump and failed miserably, then at the con stacked it so transparently in his favor that booing ensued. A pox on both their houses.
So the vast majority of minorities that voted for Hillary over Bernie were simply tricked into doing so by the DNC?

I think Hillary would have won no matter what, but to deny that the DNC was not rooting for her is silly.
Bitter fact is that when it comes to the nitty gritty of politics, both parties can get pretty dirty, and both can have really ugly internal battles.
Agree that the RNC was inept..very inept.

The DNC got caught (and will suffer nothing) doing what the GOP got caught not doing (and will suffer greatly for at least this election and probably the next one).

I have no doubt that the DNC wanted Hillary to win. That does not mean they tricked minorities into overwhelmingly supporting her.

Nate Silver: How many people were booing mentions of Hillary? I'd guess 2-5% of the delegates, or something like that. A few loud pockets of people.

Best pundit line so far - "It's as if Bernie's been feeding his supporters Mountain Dew for the past six months and now he wants them to go to bed."

So much for reaching out to the Bernie supporters, DNC. the utter disgust at the betrayal is palpable at the convention.

They might not vote for Trump, but they as sure as **** are not going to vote for Corrupt Hillary and the DuNCes who carried her water.

When Bernie himself tells America tonight that the Democrats have the most progressive platform in history and than Hillary has to be elected what will you say?

My local news is reporting Trump up 5% now on Clinton, due to Independents who were swung by the RNC convention. I don't think most of that convention swung them: it was Trump's well-prepared and delivered speech at the closing.

For Clinton to recover, it is critical that she her speech trumps Trump's.
A couple ways she can blow it:

1) Try to be all smiley or snarky. (She needs to be presidential and serious)
2) Lie (and get pounded for it in the media and comedy follow-ups).
3) Spend TOO much time on Trump fails (some is great; but more substance please)

If she can hold it together, and the background of the convention isn't as hateful as the RNC's was, I think the polls will show Independents back-swinging next week.

Hopefully, fanatical Bernie Bro dumbasses don't boo Bernie himself.

Well that hope has gone out of the window:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-36885783

Bernie Sanders supporters booed and jeered at a rally ahead of the Democratic Party convention when he urged them to back Hillary Clinton.

Says a lot about a certain element of his supporters, spoiled children. If they can't have what they want they will ruin things for everyone.

So Bernie is pure and just and should have been the nominee but he's a sellout.

LOL

I think we might have to just rename the Rule of So the Rule of Tony Stark, because you go through more straw man in a single thread than the rest of the forum put together.

Did I say that Bernie was "pure and just" Tony? No of course not.

LOL!

I certainly hope so.

If polls show Donald ahead in a few weeks, I will totally lose hope for America.
