That said, Ingraham does not make the Nazi salute so often that she just forgot herself the other night. It was an unfortunately suggestive gesture in unfamiliar surroundings.

We can take her to task for what she explicitly says and not pretend that an unfortunate gesture was a giveaway moment. The fact that she is a vile person doesn't justify making much out of an ambiguous and almost certainly coincidental motion.

Aren't many of those definitions and descriptions of propaganda so broad as to include many US political campaigns of the past few decades?

And while many of the claims and quotes in the article were true in the 1930s and 40s, I am not convinced they are accurate today.

One could easily show that many of Trumps's strategies and tactics are classic examples of propaganda and many Trump supporters would still follow him.

Hey, Goebbels wasn't perfect - if he was smarter he would have immigrated to the US and founded his own advertising Agency!!!

Somewhere along the line, I heard someone say that if you live long enough, you will become what you hate.

That is what has happened to the Republican Party. When Barack Obama came along they said he was far too inexperienced and knew nothing of foreign policy. He read his speaches off teleprompters. He had no plan and they said that they were sickened that his followers flocked to him as if he were some kind of messiah.

I'm 69, I do not think I will wake up one day thinking about how really good and kind and brilliant Trump is. Unless, of course, Alzheimer's and/or senility.
Clearly not a danger at this time though!!!!!
