Maybe he's trying to come back around to the day's theme by creating a job on the spot.

It's almost certain he's looking for a job. Does he have a chance in hell of being reelected in NJ after trafficgate? Universally, city people despise being stuck in traffic. It's not like only Democrats were on the bridge that day.

Not to mention, is he in the clear yet? He's got his own indictment problems and no room to talk about Clinton's non-indictable email kerfuffle.

Someone is finally talking about policy. The soap opera actress who grows avocados. Didn't see that coming.

They could write the same article about Tiffany's speech tonight minus the part about plagiarism. Does Donald interact with his family because they have no stories about him.

The Donald Jr just alluded to Trump Sr turning their care over to whoever was on the construction site at the time. :p

There was a nonsensical mention of 20K pages of regulations for [I missed the reference] small business by Donnie Jr. Given I work with regulations and compliance in the health care field, I don't believe that hyperbole for a minute. But you can bet people who buy this claptrap do.

He is hated in New Jersey. And term limited anyway. His only chance to salvage his career is if Trump wins and appoints him Attorney General or something. Though I'm not sure he could get confirmed.

Or Trump could let him run some Atlantic City casinos.

But you are dodging the main implication of what you were saying; The Average American is too ignorant and stupid..too "Low Information" to use his vote in an intelliegent manner. If that is true you are going to get a bad result not reforms you make to the Democratic system.

Even if the average voter were too ignorant to select the best candidate, I would not abolish universal sufferage.

I disagree that I am dodging. If the system is so limiting that only two parties have a chance to win the presidency then it is irrelevant as to whether the population is political morons or political geniuses.

I suppose I could be satisfied with something more European: people vote for a party and its platform and the party then votes for the leader.

False Alarm:

No, Donald Trump Jr. didn’t plagiarize part of his speech

But it wasn't his own words.
As the second night of the Republican National Convention ended, Twitter erupted at the news that Donald Trump Jr.’s speech might also have been plagiarized, just like his stepmother Melania's speech on night . In this case, the original source was FH Buckley, a law professor at George Mason University who writes for the American Conservative:...

Don Trump Jr.'s speech was written by a speechwriter who used some of his past material in the speech. You can argue whether that's the height of speechwriting, but there's nothing unethical about it — it would be a very weird standard to argue that writers couldn't take a line they were proud of writing in a small-circulation policy magazine and let a political figure they like use it in a major national speech.
