Multiple police shot in Dallas protest

Damn, I was just a mile or so away from there a few hours ago. Didn't even know there was a protest, let alone a shooting until I got home.

I would ask the anti-American / gun trolls to shut the **** up for the moment. Once it's sorted out you can have at it on page 3 and beyond.

Has anyone said any of the actual shooters had that and camo on? Or is the camo from this one picture of some guy?

Scratch that. The Dallas PD is looking for a black male who was open carrying an AR-15.

We can now go back to blaming the Second Amendment and the NRA.

It certainly doesn't help to have open carry folks wandering around in crowds. How are you supposed to know who to worry about? Wait until they are shooting people?

At this point the stories are still mixed. The police are looking for this guy the tourist took the pictures of.

Whether a witness saw him shooting is still a fuzzy fact.

But whether the guy was the shooter or not, what are you supposed to do when guys like this are flaunting rifles in a crowd? Everyone else has to leave because the guy has a right to brandish his firearm.

I notice many internal virtual worldviews are being filled in with scant facts.

CNN just said the brother of the guy in the photo said he gave up his weapon to an officer and was taken away, but he didn't do it.

Citizens taking up arms to fight back against a violent police state. God bless the Second Amendment.

CNN repeated that from a new statement, and the same one said there was another suspect in a shootout in custody, and a suspicious package nearby is being secured by the bomb squad.

There's also video of the "person of interest" walking around casually during the shooting, with his gun slung over his shoulder (if we're discussing the same guy), so it looks pretty unlikely that he's involved.

The longer this goes on, the less surprised I am. You can only push people so long before someone freaks out. That doesn't justify shooting into a crowd, or at cops, of course, but it's almost inevitable in a nation this large.

Meanwhile, Dallas PD reports a 4th officer has died.
