Hillary Clinton is Done: part 2

Unless you're an environmentalist or work on Wall Street or receive health care or pay for college or are super-rich, yeah, Bernie and Hillary wouldn't be that different.

I am an environmentalist. I'm fine with Hillary. She believes in climate change and doesn't think the EPA is evil.

I have no fear she'll undo Obamacare and take my health insurance away (before I was blacklisted and could not get insurance).

I believe she understands the college problem which is why she's pledged to continue Obama's work to try and make public universities debt free.

I don't think she will let Wall Street do mortgage securities shenanigans again.

So, got anything else?
Here are just a few of their many differences:

- Bernie Sanders doesn't take $675,000 bribes from Goldman Sachs and other criminals.

Hillary got speaking fees like numerous other people. Calling that a bribe is disingenuous.
- Sanders doesn't accept multi-million dollar donations from foreign governments who sponsor terrorism and imprison homosexuals (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, et al).

That's because he doesn't have a huge charity fund trying to help marginalized people around the world as well as fight the effects of climate change. If he did, and he turned down that money, he would be stupid.

- Sanders doesn't have an unencrypted private server set up in his home in order to circumvent transparency laws (FOIA).

That's because he was never important enough to become Secretary of State. If he had he would have.

- Sanders is not currently the target of a "criminal investigation" by the FBI.

See above.

- Sanders doesn't hire paid shills to spread propaganda on Twitter and Facebook.

Instead he relies on cultists to spread propaganda. See this thread.

- Sanders' spouse doesn't drop her trousers every time a member of the opposite sex gets within a 10 foot range.

If his spouse did, what would it matter?

- Sanders is a self-proclaimed socialist, and for the most part, basically honest. Conversely, Crooked Hillary is a staunch supporter of pay-to-play crony-capitalism, and every time she opens her mouth another lie comes out.

Which is a lot of lies in and of itself. Is he honest? We don't know because until this year no one had ever heard of him. Is Hillary a liar? Not by my standards. Does she engage in pay-to-play crony-capitalism? I have yet to see evidence for it. When Hillary starts a war to get huge no-bid contracts to a corporation she owns stock in you can get back to me on that.

I don't think she gets indicted either. Not because she doesn't deserve it -- her overt acts at least constitute obstruction of justice and evince a guilty mind -- but because the DOJ is so corrupt and partisan. State's IG report alone would be enough to warrant indictments in any other administration. Can anyone remember what the Scooter Libby trial was about?

You're going to be really, really sad when she wins, huh?
On the contrary, the right will be giddy with nipple-exploding delight to be able to bitch, moan, obstruct, and yammer endlessly on air about how the Clintons are DESTROYING America. Nothing could be better for their ratings or their coffers, and they will thank their favorite deity several times a day for their good fortune.

It's much easier to fly an airplane into a skyscraper than it is to build one.

Yet more childish posts moved for being nothing but bickering. Also off topic posts moved , remember the topic of this thread. I know the threads are overlapping a lot at the moment in regards to topics but this isn't the thead to discuss Trump, the Republican party nor the detail of the emails.

In al fairness, it is still a good way until the general election in November, 2016.

However, ...

Given the way that Trump is destroying himself and the Republican Party, and the way that both Clinton and Obama are looking better and better, then I expect that come January 20, 2017 we will see a President Hillary Clinton being sworn in.

I'm out of it for a little bit and we jump to page 82. So, is Hillary Clinton done?

Also, what did I miss? Can I get a quick summary?

You do know the person heading the FBI investigation is a Republican, right?

The only time the DoJ was as corrupt as you imply is when GW swapped out hundreds of career lawyers for new grads from Pat Robertson's unaccredited law school and fired 8 AG's that wouldn't cooperate on politically motivated prosecutions.

Maybe you're fine with Hillary, but Bernie is obviously the more environmentally friendly candidate:
No fracking
Carbon tax
Never supported Keystone

I would think, if you're an environmentalist, Clinton's support of fracking would trouble you.

I have no fear she'll undo Obamacare and take my health insurance away (before I was blacklisted and could not get insurance).

Sure, but don't you want universal health care like every other advanced country in the world? Why are we stuck with a GOP health care plan? Can't we dream a little bigger?

What does "debt free" even mean? My kid has an education IRA worth about $40k. Is he going to have to pay $40k while another kid pays nothing? Bernie's tuition-free college proposal makes college free for everyone.

I don't think she will let Wall Street do mortgage securities shenanigans again.

Since I said "work on Wall Street", your response doesn't make sense. Bernie's election would have huge consequences for people who work in too-big-to-fail institutions. Hillary, not so much.

So, got anything else?

You're an environmentalist who doesn't care about fracking or carbon taxes, only that a candidate believe in climate change and not think the EPA is "evil". Could you set the bar any lower, Travis? I think you would support Clinton even if she gave speeches and took money from the NRA. You would just rationalize it somehow.

The betting odds are 75% in favor of Clinton winning. But then again, the betting odds on Remain winning were even higher, I believe.

Your choice is not between Bernie or Hillary.

Your choice is between Clinton or Trump. What are Trump's positions on the environment, fracking, banks, healthcare, etc, and how do they compare with Clinton's positions? (hint: you'd prefer Clinton if you cared about any of these items)

Oh, I'll end up voting for Hillary, unless she gets in real trouble. I just pine for what could have been. We could be voting for Warren. Instead, income/wealth inequality will continue to get worse, just as it has under Obama.

Fudrucker, stop lying. Hillary supports universal healthcare and you know it. She does recognize that single payer is not going to happen in the US. But, as you know, many countries have universal healthcare without single payer.

It would not change even if by some miracle Bernie Sanders becomes President. Unless you think that he is by some magic going to convince the GOP scum in Congress to embrace "socialism".

Ummm, ...

Just in case you have not gotten the news, there has been a considerable problem with income/wealth inequality for about the last 10,000 years.

Which ones?
