Hillary Clinton is Done: part 2

I would have thought an effective email blackmail file would require that there actually be "deepest darkest secrets" in the hacked emails. While we may not know just what was in there, that seems a bit of a leap.

I'm struggling to figure out how The Clinton Foundation can be called a charity.

The Clinton Foundation received $17.7 million in donations from foreign governments (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait), while Crooked Hillary was Secretary of State.

LGBT rights are not recognized by the governments of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait. In fact, homosexual acts between consenting adults is illegal. Women living in these countries also face discrimination in many aspects of their lives, and large legal gaps remain in protections for women.

But even more troubling, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait have provided as much as $40 million or more over the past two years in funding to the radical Islamist terrorist group ISIS.

To date, the Clinton Foundation has received a whopping $40 million from these 3 terrorist sponsoring dictatorships.

This explains away the fact that it is a charity and not a front for taking bribes or whatever demented conspiracy theory you believe, how exactly?

And, of course, those foreign government donations are tit-for-tat investments. Mein Gott, you've cracked the case, man. Better start worrying Americans. We're going to be force-fed lutefisk, while riding emus on the way to the biathlon, which will be the new national sport.

Is the argument being advanced that the Clinton Foundation had to be bad because governments with some repressive policies donated to it?

The deposition of Bryan Pagliano was in connection with a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit that seeks records about the 30,000 missing emails of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Bryan Pagliano (State Department Schedule C employee who has been reported to have serviced and maintained the server that hosted the “clintonemail.com” system during Crooked Hillary’s tenure as Secretary of State).

As I (and other posters) have pointed out. The FOI action brought by a right wing pressure group is a piece of political theatre. It's a fishing expedition and like as not excerpts would have been released out of context with the sole objective of damaging Hillary through the dissemination of lies and half truths.

I think the argument is that the Clinton Foundation is a means by which the Clinton family wield power - and possibly even line their own pockets. Repressive regimes donate to the Clinton Foundation which in turn allows them to influence the Clintons' views and hence if Hillary is elected President they will directly control U.S. policy.

Of course it's not like the GOP aren't BFF's with the same regimes

Dozens of lawsuits have been filed, including one by the Associated Press -- who are not exactly what you would call a "right wing pressure group":

The Associated Press filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the State Department to force the release of email correspondence and government documents from Hillary Rodham Clinton's tenure as secretary of state.

The legal action comes after repeated requests filed under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act have gone unfulfilled. They include one request AP made five years ago and others pending since the summer of 2013.

Said AP Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll, "The Freedom of Information Act exists to give citizens a clear view of what government officials are doing on their behalf. When that view is denied, the next resort is the courts."

In a speech Wednesday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that Clinton's email server "was easily hacked by foreign governments."

"So they probably now have a blackmail file over someone who wants to be President of the United States. This fact alone disqualifies her from the presidency," Trump said. "We can't hand over our government to someone whose deepest, darkest secrets may be in the hands of our enemies."
And will your, or the Trumpet, be proving evidence to support this claim?

The funny thing is, EVEN IF these regimes get to influence US Policy, it's still a better future than the alternative, which would probably just destroy the US as a country.

And you just believe whatever conspiracy theories Donald Trump pulls out of his ass? Maybe President Obama isn't really an American too?

I am not surprised that he is using Trump talking points to bitch about Hillary.

After all, just the other day, he was using a Pravda citation to bitch about Hillary.

I don't see how that works. Donating to a charity is not the same thing as bribing anyone.

Well, ...

If you are so terribly put off by money dontations that comes from places like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait, then does that mean you are no longer going to use plastics, gasoline, and several thousand other products that are made from the oil which comes from places like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait?

I don't see how that works. Donating to a charity is not the same thing as bribing anyone.

It can be very similar. I won't use a specific personal example, but I have plenty. Suffice to say that if one donates substantially to a charity (or PAC, etc) owned by an influential individual, then that individual is likely to notice and it opens a door that might otherwise never get opened.
