Continuation Part 21: Amanda Knox/Raffaele Sollecito

Chaos and disruption follows Rudy Guede around a lot. Law offices missing laptops and windows. Nurseries missing money and knives. Cottage missing its living breathing occupant.

Meanwhile Amanda Knox had a wide circle of friends, family, teachers, etc.

It's really powerful, the PGP cognitive bias spell. I can't put myself in the mindset. That's why this case is so interesting to me.

Sure Rudy is one damaged individual, but, heck, so are Amanda and Raff. Both are empty vessels. Mom Edda had to fabricate a statement to the press that 'Amanda is devastated by the murder of her friend, Meredith', in a charade her emotionless daughter was normal. Mignini described Raff as likewise, 'icy cold'.

Their amygdala is the size of a gnat's pooh on a pepper.

I swear Vixen does not pay attention. Either that or Vixen's own observations about why one would want to spread as much fog a possible applies - to Vixen!

Agreed, Amanda and her legal team did not make a formal complaint. It is obvious why - they had bigger charges to defend Knox from; and it was clear if they said anything, they'd be open to defamation charges.

Which is exactly what happened. When asked what kind of pressure she was under at interrogation, Knox simply told the truth. She'd been hit. "Cuff'ed" is probably the term better used.

And, yes, the "other party" took action to, "set the record straight," which is the way a prosecution/police apologist would put it. Others would differ. This is exactly what Knox had perhaps been warned about - tell the truth about the interrogation and absent a video of it, you're taking a chance dear. (I guess we can also blame Knox for the missing interrogation video!)

And as Kauffer suggested, all this backfired. If those cops/interpreter had not taken this action, Knox would never have been acquitted of the charge or the suspicion that she just made things up. It turns out that the judge believed her, and recognized the interrogation for what it was.

Coercive and illegal. Vixen - deal with it.

There is no video, as there was no interrogation. Amanda insisted on being there. On overhearing that Raff had withdrawn his alibi for her, telling police Amanda asked him to lie for her and claim she was with him at his flat all evening, she slyly, calculatingly, astutely and wickedly named a man she knew to be innocent.

If you have a complaint to make you have to go through the correct channels. Telling the court or the press won't help. What are they going to do about it? You have a gas leak? You don't ring up the National Guard. The surgeon left a scalpel in your abdomen? Heck, don't tell I, tell 'ee.

Even if dimwit Amanda had no idea how to lodge a complaint, her legal counsel, Dalla Vedova had a professional obligation to lodge the complaint of 'police brutality towards my client'.

I'm not sure what constitutes a formal complaint in Vixen's mind. But it's easy to see why they wouldn't want to do this given Italy's legal system's penchant of retaliation of anyone who questions authority. It's worth noting that this most recent police callunia trial is the result of issuing a complaint. Instead of investigating, they charge you criminally and sue you for making the complaint. A bit of a Catch 22 there don't you think Major Major?

Not quite. More misinformation from you. Amanda and her parents made the allegations of police brutality to the press, the media and in her book, in a transparent self-serving attempt to swing the trial her way. This type of undermining is exactly the way the mafia operate.

Yet not once did she complain via the correct official channels.

What credence can we give their blarney?

Vixen - please, I beg you, stop this line of stuff about whether or not Amanda had made a complaint about being swatted at interrogation. Neither she, nor her lawyers on her behalf made a complaint. Period. Stop. End.

At trial she was asked to describe the pressure she was under at interrogation. She remarked she'd been swatted on the back of the head. At no time did she ever seek remedy for that one claim.

It was the PLE and Donino who made the complaint of defamation in relation to that item of testimony. Amanda had nothing to do with them making the complaint. As such, why do you keep harkening back to "Amanda never made a formal complaint"? Of course she didn't. Drop it! You're tilting at windmills.

But as a result of the complaint lodged by some members of the PLE/Donino against Knox, Judge Boninsegna acquitted Knox, and wrote a devastating critique of the PLE/Donino for the conduct of the interrogation and for bringing suit against Knox.

Why do you keep talking about whether or not Knox did/should have brought suit?

If anything, they proved that there was nothing straight about the interrogation and these particular officers were not to be believed. You gotta love how this worked out. That is 4 separate judge/juries that said this interrogation crossed the line. For the life of me I can't understand why Vixen thinks the ECHR won't make it 5.

The ECHR has wiped the bottoms of criminals, doesn't make them any less criminal.

An interesting point about psychopaths causing chaos and disruption wherever they go. Let's see:

-- Writing letters to Pepperdine in an attempt to get Steve Moore fired because he publicly spoke out in support of Amanda Knox's innocence.

-- Creating a fake wikipedia page filled with lies and false and misleading information.

-- Attempts to take over and control the real wikipedia page on Meredith's murder.

-- Attempts to disrupt legitimate discussion on every forum through spreading rumor and innuendo about Amanda, Raffaele, and their supporters.

-- Making up factoids and criticizing the top forensic geneticists in the world because they dare speak out in favor of Amanda by categorically showing why the DNA evidence was false and fraudulent.

-- Attempts to take over major internet forums that are discussing this case by repeatedly trying to manipulate the moderators into banning anyone who supports Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito.

-- Accusations via rumor and innuendo of the judges (including the Italian Supreme Court) who acquitted Amanda and Raffaele of being corrupt. Vague accusations of bribes and connections to the mafia. Or Illuminati. Or the Freemasons. Or the Knights Templar. It's hard to keep track, honestly.

What were you saying about psychopaths causing chaos and disruption, Vixen? If you guys happened to catch Amanda and burn her at the stake, would all of this nonsense stop? Could you let intellectually honest posters have a real discussion about the legal repercussions of this case without trying to disrupt this thread with your lies? Haven't your friends made enough money off their Amanda Knox true crime novels yet?

Quite frankly, the antics of Amanda give cause for one to believe she is indeed a demon.

Possibly one of the most evil in living memory.

Aaaah. But it won't have been just the ECHR. No, it will have been 5 different judge/juries having made the same ruling. That you can't or won't accept that is your issue.

Where would you place Knox in this list:

  1. Hitler
  2. Idi Amin
  3. Josef Mengele
  4. Pol Pot

Only delusional nut jobs come to that conclusion. People nuttier than a bowel movement after consuming a big bag of peanuts.

Context is all. We were discussing Amanda's chances of winning her ECHR claim in relation to what Boninsegnia wrote up.

As he was unable to pass a guilty verdict, he had to accept the submissions of the defence, which resulted in his hodge-podge MR of half-baked claims of police brutality. Acbytesla claims Boninsegnia is the next Hellmann in terms of greatness (and in the eyes of an idiot). This has no bearing on reality.

The Supreme Court ruled her calunnia was committed under conditions of sang-froid and zero pressure from anyone.

Boninsegnia was practising the time honoured tradition of writing scathing putdowns of the losing party.

Delusional is a apposite description of the 'Killer Women' Piers Morgan interviewed in his two-part documentary. One woman claimed she didn't mean to kill her husband, 'as I shot him six times in his elbow' (...er...and all the other gunshots to his head and body).

IMV almost all FOA and her family know she is guilty. Very few really believe she is innocent, even the delusional.

Wrong. A large majority of courts and all of the merits court - which evaluates the evidence - found the pair guilty.

If that woman wins her ECHR claim, she will join the ranks of this fellow here, an affront to upright decent law-abiding citizens everywhere:

Watch and see Vixen. Knox is on a winning streak and like it or not, the Boninsegnia motivation will be read by the ECHR when they review whether Amanda Knox's rights were violated. The ECHR doesn't need to reverse findings of fact. The simply have to agree with Hellmann, Boninsegnia and Gemelli. This is an easy decision. Knox, will win, Italy will pay and you will be wrong ....agajn.

At least they had the excuse of 'politics' and of (initially anyway) being put into power by popular mass support.
For the first time, you are scaring me. Are you all right?

More picking and choosing by you. They were found Not Guilty That is the final judgment and the only one that matters. And the only thing that Knox was found guilty of will be annulled in time. She will be as legally innocent of any crime as you or me and wealthier as Italy will pay.

Who is "we"? I love the "beautiful game" as well as the American game. Calling it soccer here in the US eliminates any confusion.

We call it 'American football' problem solved.

BTW Muhammad Ali is extremely popular here in the UK; wishing and hoping he doesn't depart from this world just yet.
