You know I never understood that as a good selling point, For instance I could win the powerball, Spend my life feeding and clothing the homeless. Afterwards I could have some epiphany and figure out world peace and still I wouldn't get in the 'love my son or else club'.

However instead i can be a manipulative hateful cruel monster who rapes children, kills the elderly and stabs random hobos and just as I'm on death row accept christ and bingo bango free eternal pie.

That's the point, you and others in different threads seem to know if a person truly repents. I don't need to ask as I'm not twisted up about it.

My point was to illustrate the failure of the whole jebus only salvation.

I don't blame imaginary beings for anything.

You should have seen what it was like before the 10 commandments. And the rest of the planet that didn't hear about them for probably centuries.

Are you seriously suggesting that no-one thought killing was ever wrong until the 10 commandments were thought up? And that no-one other than the Jews thought killing was ever wrong until they heard about the 10 commandments?

I am with you on this one, logger.

Here in life on Earth the true repentant is (often) accepted back into the community. God can sort out the fakes, and the ones who are simply desperate and trying their luck. And do not believe the priest who says all is forgiven. Of course he adds, go and sin no more. If one intends to sin some more, then the contract of forgiveness is null and void.

Logger and BT can comment on this.
