LLNL. L-division. It was a loooong time ago though.

I've done work out there (rather recently, in fact). Basically impossible to get pictures of contractor... mishaps... on a building under construction out there. I just want to see a welded connection, there's nothing else in the photo but blue sky.

They take their security a bit too seriously...

I was there before the era of cell phones, let alone smartphones. I can't imagine how they deal with that stuff now.

There's little nooks you put them in just outside the tech area. I think they're basically little bitty lockers based on what the architects were showing. One of my friends used to complain about how damn impossible it was to get your own music into the tech area to listen to while working.

I happened to check in with Hillary's twitter page (following up on a moronic tweet) and notice that the pinned post at the top includes a picture of her staring at her blackberry!

No doubt reading an email sent to her clintonemail account.

Cripes, talk about NOT *********** GETTING IT.

Or ... fewer than 50

https://www.washingtonpost.com/inve...301168-e162-11e5-846c-10191d1fc4ec_story.html

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article incorrectly said that Clinton used two different email addresses, sometimes interchangeably, as secretary of state. She used only hdr22@clintonemail.com as secretary of state. Also, an earlier version of this article reported that 147 FBI agents had been detailed to the investigation, according to a lawmaker briefed by FBI Director James B. Comey. Two U.S. law enforcement officials have since told The Washington Post that figure is too high. The FBI will not provide an exact figure, but the officials say the number of FBI personnel involved is fewer than 50.

Can you imagine someone taking solace in the claim that fewer than 50 FBI agents are investigating one's dear leader?

Hell I'd plotz if I heard ONE FBI agent was sniffing around!

Can you imagine, say .... 12?

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...-agents-working-clinton-email-inquiry-n548026

But a former federal law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the Clinton investigation tells MSNBC an estimate anywhere near 50 agents is also off base.

"There are currently about 12 FBI agents working full-time on the case," says the source, who would only speak anonymously about an open investigation.

A former FBI official, also speaking anonymously, says many in the law enforcement community view the large estimates of people assigned to the case as completely improbable.

"147 was such a ridiculous number," said the source, adding that 50 also sounded unrealistic for this kind of inquiry. "You need an act of terrorism to get 50 agents working on something," said the former FBI official.

But 150 sounds so impressive, which I am sure is why HDS sufferers kept bringing it up.

12 FBI Agents WORKING FULL TIME??? Holy crap. I assumed that the 147 was agents who had touched the file, dealt with a task or two, with maybe a handful working on it regularly.

12 FULL TIME? Jesus, that is unbelievable.

This is way more serious than I thought.

She's toast. Great finds!!

Of course you thought that, why you even posted it right over .... oh, nevermind.

Yup, toast.

Yeah right. Even as his goons were rounding up the guy who made the internet video that nobody ever heard of. Obama and his flunkies were selling that BS story for months, including Obama at the UN. Or have you forgotten that already?
Evidently so...
*snip*

You realize that the individual that made the video wasn't just arrested for making the video, don't you? He was arrested because he was on probation and one of the requirements was that he not do the exact *********** thing he did. Even if you don't blame Benghazi on that video, the video still caused massive amounts of damage in other countries. To imply otherwise is ludicrous.

I know that putting work product on a computer not controlled by my workplace, without coordination with the IT department, is a huge no-no. And I know why that is too. That's enough. If it's bad to do it at a private company, it's got to be ultra-bad to do it at the State Department.

Somebody finally noted the bleeding obvious that gets ignored too frequently

Sounds reasonable. I assumed the 150 figure included admins and people making coffee though. The numbers never really mattered to me personally. The important number is 1.

If you google "what really happened" and the email scandal it has one piece I wondered about.

Namely, how did the FBI get all the emails Hillary destroyed by over-writing the one she turned in.

Apparently the server was never in her basement. It was held by Platt River Networks. It was backed up by other means, lol.

She turned over the written emails she didn't mind people seeing and then had the whole thing over-written. Talk about going out of your way to destroy evidence.

The 12 agents vs. the 147 agents: I read about a tactic in political warfare where you commandeer a scandal by getting out in front of it with a ludicrous overstatement of things through a leak so that people discount the actual story which is really bad.

The current number being "only" 12 agents full-time. Well that may be some version of victory in the short run for the sycophants. But the case is now on to the stage where they already know the answer before they ask. Now you are lying to the FBI, not the white house press corps.

Do you have a credible cite for the overwriting you mention? I had heard the server was wiped but I assumed that meant formatted, not overwritten.

Also if it was overwritten, how did the FBI find out and get the emails? From another person who sent/received them maybe?

Thanks for the colorful opinions and conspiracy theory.

.

It was indeed in her basement and transferred to Platte River in 2013 or so. After the State Department requested that she turn over her documents, and after her team of lawyers went through the emails, she had the data on the server transferred to Platte River servers, and the original server's data was deleted. Platte River was instructed to impose a rule on the data that deleted any emails over thirty days. However, they forget to tell their off site data back up provider Datto about that rule.

As such, Hillary's clever ruse to give the FBI nothing backfired in at least two ways. There was recoverable data on her cowboy server, and there were backups at Datto.

Why did Hillary go to all that trouble to try to delete the emails after they were requested by State and several FOIA requests?

Hmmm,,,,

As Elvis pointed out, what a load junk. You obviously have no idea what has happened in this case, and your post is a load of misinformation. If you're going to call out people for being "sycophants" you might want to check your facts first.

Platte River was instructed to impose a rule on the data that deleted any emails over thirty days. However, they forget to tell their off site data back up provider Datto about that rule.

Uh, not even close. First off, neither company (Datto or Platte River) had any idea the system was backing to a cloud. A service they bought from Datto took snapshots of servers in case a server went down. Along with Hillary's server, there were a bunch of servers that didn't request or require the backup. These backups have absolutely nothing to do with emails, and a 30 day retention is pretty standard for emails. Also, she could permanently keep any email she wanted or that she felt was relevant. The server didn't wipe all emails after 30 days, to imply it was is completely false. That would easily be the dumbest possible setup in the entire world.

As such, Hillary's clever ruse to give the FBI nothing backfired in at least two ways. There was recoverable data on her cowboy server, and there were backups at Datto.

Platte River, along with Hillary, gave permission for the FBI to acquire the server and dig into it.

The backups at Datto were illegal, and Hillary and her attorney had to give Datto permission to turn over the data. If they didn't want it turned over, they didn't have to turn it over.

The FBI requested the contents of Datto’s storage on Sept. 10, a person familiar with the situation said. On Friday, Clinton’s attorney, David Kendall, and Platte River agreed to allow Datto to turn over the data from the backup server to the FBI, said this person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

Again, your foaming-at-the-mouth attempts at making everything that happens in Hillary's world inherently evil completely undermines any factual basis you might actually have. She's cooperated every step of the way, and it's blatantly apparent that the FBI has every possible piece of information Hillary had on either server.

Why did Hillary go to all that trouble to try to delete the emails after they were requested by State and several FOIA requests?

Hmmm,,,,

A better question would be, "Why do you think she went through all of that trouble to delete emails, to only turn over every copy of her entire server shortly after that?"

Seems kind of stupid.

This is why I rarely bother, but this was hilarious!

March 10, 2015 H. Clinton: Informs the world that she destroyed over half of the documents says, “The server will remain private."

March 27: Kendall refuses to turn over server to Benghazi committee, claims it is empty, and writes After the review was completed to identify and provide to the Department of State all of the secretary's work-related and potentially work-related emails, the secretary chose not to keep her non-record personal emails and asked that her account (which was no longer in active use) be set to retain only the most recent 60 days of email."

(Oops! 16.5 misremembred that it was 60 days not 30!)

Time passes, IC IG makes counterintelligence referral to agency that has the power to seize servers, the FBI.

Than Kendall agrees to turn it over to the FBI rather than have the FBI seize it.

Shillaries: She cooperated! She and her cabal were coerced not cooperated. Look that word up.

coerce
verb co·erce \kō-ˈərs\

Simple Definition of coerce

: to make (someone) do something by using force or threats

: to get (something) by using force or threats

Are you claiming that the FBI used force or threats to get the server? Evidence of that?

This is why I rarely bother, but this was hilarious!

Quit playing the martyr card, it's getting old. "This is why I rarely bother." You've said that at least 4 times. If it's too much for you, then don't reply. You already implied I was on ignore.

March 10, 2015 H. Clinton: Informs the world that she destroyed over half of the documents says, “The server will remain private."

The server should have been private, and I see nothing wrong with that. She deleted personal emails, which she has every right to do. To this date you've provided absolutely nothing to show that she deleted any email related to work. Don't get me wrong, you have implied it every step of the way. You just haven't done a damn thing to back it up.

March 27: Kendall refuses to turn over server to Benghazi committee,

**** the Benghazi committee. I wouldn't have turned the damn thing over to them either.

claims it is empty,

Which it was as it had been formatted.

and writes After the review was completed to identify and provide to the Department of State all of the secretary's work-related and potentially work-related emails, the secretary chose not to keep her non-record personal emails and asked that her account (which was no longer in active use) be set to retain only the most recent 60 days of email."

What you said, and what that says are two completely different things. You said her email was only held for 60 days. I'll let you figure it where you're wrong.

(Oops! 16.5 misremembred that it was 60 days not 30!)

Oops, that wasn't where you were wrong

Time passes, IC IG makes counterintelligence referral to agancy that has the power to seize servers, the FBI.

No. Just, no. That's not what happened at all. Good try though, I'm sure "avid readers" will see where you messed up.

Shillaries: She cooperated! She and her cabal were coerced not cooperated. Look that word up.

I got a few words for you to look up. Words like "inactive".

I explained this to you before, and again recently, but Hillary was under absolutely no requirement to turn the backup data from Datto over to the FBI. It was illegally stored, and she could have easily won any lawsuit should she have tried one. Take some time and look that up before you complain about being forced to reply.
