What will happen at the 2016 Republican Convention? Who will be the nominee?
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will storm the convention, and the GOP will go into November elections with a Death - Pestilence ticket.

And there will be folks who argue that it should have been a Death-War ticket, as Pestilence just doesn't bring enough economic stimulus to the job.
Well, that argument also leaves Famine right out.

He may run as an independent.
Yeah, famine definitely needs to be in it -- global warming and all. I think it'll be war and famine, actually. Death'll be the campaign manager. I'm not sure how pestilence will amuse himself. Foreign policy?
Brokered convention and Mitt Romney wins. I'm not sure if Trump will run indy or not.
Thanks. I mean it. You just made me "vote" for Trump.
I think Cruz's best chances are behind him, and the attacks on Trump have backfired enough to mean they won't do the job intended. A brokered convention is possible, but I think that if Trump has a plurality going in, any result that is not him as candidate will split the party. Since no candidate seems all that promising, perhaps best for the party to grin and bear along with Trump. After Florida and Ohio, we shall see.
Joe Biden said:Ted Cruz? An inspiration to every kid in America who worries that he’ll never be able to run for president because nobody likes him. He’s running. And look, I told Barack, if you really, really want to remake the Supreme Court, nominate Cruz. Before you know it, you’ll have eight vacancies.
With Trump sucking up the majority of news coverage, it's overlooked that Cruz is even more disliked by party brass. Trump has a better chance of coming out of a brokered convention as the nominee if he gets close enough to 50% of the delegates. Biden's even made hay about how abrasive Cruz is.
