Apparently it is spin to point out the objective fact that Hillary increased her lead yesterday. While someone who hates her and is obsessed with her is not spinning when he tries to pretend that it doesn't count.

The DNC establishment is doing everything it can to get HRC in the Whitehouse (most obviously evident by the super delegates), but with Bernie making such surprising progress anyway, yes, it will be very interesting going forward.

Because she lost by less than 2% so the delegates were split almost evenly while she won Mississippi by ~70% so most of those delegates went to her.

With such big victories in the south I also wondered whether it mattered as those states are almost certainly voting Republican come general election time.

Last night I checked my list of 7 most contested battle ground states. Sanders won Colorado, they more or less tied in Iowa, and Clinton won Nevada and 1 other state I can't recall.

Good point. NC and Florida (and a slim chance at Georgia) are the only southern states that are likely to go democrat. Which candidate helps them out most there... guess we'll find out in a week (probably HRC). Other key battleground states are Michigan, Minn, Wisconsin, Ohio, Virginia, Colorado, Penn, and New Hampshire, and Iowa.

Depends on how you look at it. The general election is decided by the middle. Doing well in red states suggests she might perform well with the middle.

Also, Nevada is considered a battle ground state, which she won handily.

She won Nevada by 5% and needed Harry Reid to coordinate with the casino owners and unions in Las Vegas to give their people time off to vote for Hillary. Also, Nevada should be solid blue by now, but the DNC has worked hard to insult a lot of folks there.

And she did well in red states because she is still connected to the political machines there.

That general elections are decided by the middle is something that the hard line ideologues on both sides, hate,and try to deny.
This is why "The Lost Tribe Theory of Politics" is so popular with them.

I will vote Green if I can't get Sanders, but I am from Massachusetts, so my vote doesn't count...

A vote for the Greens is a vote for Trump or Cruz. Think about that, and think about that very carefully.
