It's grotesquely unfair to judge them or the American media as a whole. There are bastions of quality. It's just sad that there is also a lot of crap. And John Kercher has always written for the crap publications.

I interpret RS' trip to pick up his stuff as symbolic - reclaiming that which was taken from him. There's a lot he can't get back, but I salute him for reclaiming what is rightfully his if it helps him to heal and move on.

Yes, I expect that she has been robbed of her lighthearted youthful enthusiasm for travel abroad. That and many other things.

Rubbish. Hellmann has not been "reinstated". He is a pariah. He was sacked, er, "retired". I fully expect to see him face charges of bribery and corruption, together with abuse of office in the near future. The grapevine is claiming he received over €1m- in bribes, together with the €250K sports car shortly after the disgraceful declaration of innocence and freeing the kids, enabling Amanda to flee the country and never come back.

Isn't it weird how the same people who believe Amanda was so short of cash that she (allegedly) started helping herself to Mez's rent money, also believe that someone had millions of dollars to spare to bribe judges (not to mention world-wide media outlets) on her behalf?

I'd actually bet on her going back at some point. Time has a way of changing things. Her grandmother still lives in Germany and she does speak Italian now.
