80 Years of Subtle Sexism

I'd suggest you start another thread, if you were really interested, but I doubt the mods would allow a thread of detailed analysis of beefcake advertising.

Wait no I want to know too. I honestly don't know very many gay people, at least not that I am aware of it, and I want to understand. (My circle is largely other Christian honeschoolers so I literally have no one to learn from on this sort of thing.)

It's not a question of secret signals, it's a question of subtle cues. It helps if you have any degree of gaydar.

Hahahahaha tragic monkey do you want to teach a gay class for straight people? Lolll I don't mean to sound offensive, I honestly do want to understand so I don't be accidentally offensive or something. But...gay class sounds super funny!

Well you brought it up so it must be fairly relevant

I was responding to a prior remark. I wasn't aware that I was obligated to follow any train of thought that might be inspired by any remark of mine. I'm also not aware that the use of the scroll and page back functions are reserved to me alone. I'm wondering if you are sincere or if you are just trying to pester me out of participating in this thread.

Not at all. I was just interested to see someone advertising to gay men but not women.

Seems slightly unlikely

Yeah, it's not as if there are publications for gay men, or that anyone would want to advertise to sell goods to them.

Gays are mysterious. That said, I think a thread about "Subtle Sexism" might include those who are "otherly sexed."

All the gays I know are kind of normal. Except for the ability to cook

My best friend is a straight man and he's a chef. Also most professional chefs are men and I don't believe gays are disproportionately represented.

Anyway, yes obviously there would be advertising directed towards gay men specifically. I am a disabled Christian homeschooler and there's advertising directed at my demographic. There are a lot more gays than disabled Christian homeschoolers ... and they are disabled with children so they probably have more money to spend.
