States refusing to accept Syrian refugees

I thought america was the richest and most prosperous country on earth so hos come your states cant even afford to take in hundreds, let alone thousands, of refugees?

Hell My Local municipality of 50k people takes in more than just about any US state.

That is embarrassing New Zealand is a large country with plenty of open spaces.

How many people are allowed to immigrate into New Zealand every year?

If you think so.

Most of it is uninhabited.

And we only have 4.5 million people.

But we probably could have taken more

The results of several years of liberal indoctrination: "racism," "bigotry," "hatred," "discrimination," all these things are much much bigger crimes than terrorism and murder.

If I've seen some token level of outrage at what happened in France and in other places in the name of Islam, I've seen way more outrage at the perceived "bigotry" that is a natural, and self sustaining impulse.

Refusing to let refugees in because terrorists might hide amongst them is a horrible horrible thing to do I am told. Just shows how "hateful" we are. So what if a few terrorists come in and murder a bunch of people, small price to pay in the name of diversity and anti-discrimination, and impressing a bunch of european and australasian liberals.

Worse yet, only taking Christian refugees that are truly being persecuted. Oh no, better to let in everyone than show our "bigotry" by only allowing a select few victims of an honest to **** genocide.

Talk about misplaced priorities.

If peace-loving muslims cared more about what's being done in their name than any perceived "bigotry" they're experiencing after the fact maybe we can make some in-roads towards solving the problem of Islamic terrorism.

Oh the irony, Cruz can't see the problem that Castro may very well have wanted to sneak terrorists into the US when his father was granted refugee status.

Was Cuba and/or Castro known for the types of terrorism that is being done today?

Fake Syrian passports and ID are all the rage right now...

http://www.theguardian.com/world/20...ver-trade-in-fake-and-stolen-syrian-passports

The head of the European border agency, Frontex, said this week that Arabs from outside Syria were buying counterfeit Syrian passports. Fabrice Leggeri told a French television channel that the appeal to buyers lay in how “they know Syrians get the right to asylum in all the member states of the European Union”.

.....

For those who stay, it can be a disappointing process. Seif, a Syrian engineer who arrived in Greece this summer, bought an European ID card for €3,000 from a dealer like Abu Karem. “It can be any kind of ID – Greek, Italian, Hungarian,” said Seif. “The dealer takes your photo, he puts it in the ID with the name of another guy....

...

Seif did get past passport control,...

Homeland Sec. Chairman: ISIS will use refugee crisis to infiltrate west

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/h...gee-crisis-to-infiltrate-west/article/2571947
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, warned Sunday that the United States does not have the intelligence to properly vet Syrian refugees and that he believes the Islamic State will use and "exploit the refugee crisis to infiltrate the west."

...

"I take ISIS at it's word when they said ... [they will] use and exploit the refugee crisis to infiltrate the west," said McCaul. "That concerns me."

False passports used by Paris attackers
http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/15/europe/paris-attacks-passports/
One of the men who attacked Paris held an emergency passport or similar document, according to an unnamed French senator who was briefed by the French Ministry of the Interior. The senator told CNN the bomber falsely declared himself to be a Syrian named Ahmad al Muhammad,

...

Fingerprints on the passport matched those of the Stade de France bomber, the French senator told CNN.

The fingerprint was not in the French database, the senator said, and therefore officials believe the man was among a group of refugees and migrants.

The two others who detonated themselves at the stadium carried false Turkish passports, the French senator said.

No one has called you any horrible names and no one hates the US.

Apparently the US is just the only country in the world that can't handle comment and criticism of it's policy

We've got plenty of New World "refugees" we've taken in.

As far as I know, governors of states do not have the power to bar immigration. Immigration is federal, not state. Nobody needs state government permission to settle anywhere.

You seem to take great pleasure in bad mouthing it on every occasion....

What's wrong with bad mouthing the US? It sounds like your objection is to the country being criticized in principle, rather than actual substantive disagreements with specific criticisms. It'd be a bit like a Christian dismissing critics of Christianity as "the hate Christianity crowd".
