You claim you saw an animal in an area in which they objectively do no exist.

You claim you saw President Lincoln in a previous life.

What valid contributions are we not addressing?

I did.

I have a memory of seeing Lincoln give a speech. Memory implies it is from life experience but I have no way of knowing that for certain. I could have been visiting someone else as a walk-in and watching as an observer or it could have been some kind of inspiration that could be used to write a book, a short story, or to develop a scene in a movie.

Instead of asking about my sighting, most of you immediately accuse me of lying even though I've never demonstrated that quality here. If I'm not lying then you do these ridiculous verbal gymnastics, applying cognitive and psychological theories inappropriately to the situation, to convince me that I'm mistaken to the point where it only demonstrates your (as in everyone in general) stupidity, not mine.

A cat was shot in Georgia. It's DNA was typed and it was found to be from the Florida Panther colony and the guy got 2 years probation for it.

The one killed in Connecticut was believed to have walked from South Dakota.

Those are a single data point each. Admittedly the Florida Panther would be the closest population but there should be other sightings if they are roving into northern Florida, Georgia, and SC.

I cannot continue to say that it's not possible for a cougar to be in South Carolina because I haven't said that once yet. I have not said that because I think it is possible for a cougar to occur in South Carolina.

I do consider your claim to have seen a cougar in South Carolina, however, to be highly dubious, Jodie. Your misrepresentation of my position on this point merely solidifies it for me.

Unlike you, I don't need to start nonsensical topics in order to feel relevant. How's your thread on the Shrike coming along, btw? So, yeah, you don't have any links because you know fully-well that you've been chatting bubbles yet again, Jodie.

Interesting wording. So feeling relevant is important to you on a forum comprises of a bunch of people you don't know. Who's BLAARGing now?

I did.

None of this ever happened. At some point, you might want to familiarize yourself with reality. It's a great place; lots of us enjoy it.

How on earth did you get that from what I typed? I specifically stated that I didn't need to start a thread in order to make myself feel relevant, it was a dig towards Jodie and you never got it, just like you'll never get Bigfoot, despite being within candy-throwing reach of the rare bugger on one occasion.

I think we already know who's BLAARG'ing, mate, and it sure ain't me. You go off and rest awhile, and pipe up when it's time to pay me that jackpot you'll owe me on our little arranged bet, gamblin' man. :)

So basically Jodie we can never tell you that you are wrong, even when you are repentantly saying things which are objectively false and keep adding details after the fact and changing your story because that's equivalent to us calling you a stupid lair.

You have talked yourself into a deluded state of mind.

I haven't changed anything. No one asked, I volunteered, that's about the extent of it.

Had to look up Edisto, SC. No Jodie, you did not see a cougar there.

I misrepresented nothing, you just don't like being wrong.

According to the SC DNR guy that my friend spoke to there are other sightings.

This should be illuminating, but I doubt it will be.

Jodie, how does my assertion - once - that you did not see a cougar in Edisto get twisted in your mind to me continuing to claim that it's not possible for cougars to occur in South Carolina? Do you really not see how you took my very specific comment and morphed it into a general statement (that you seem to think I've made many times)? You have proven yourself multiple times in recent weeks to be an unreliable witness to the very threads in which we're posting.

I wish you would link the post were I asserted such a thing, I haven't claimed you said this multiple times. The only other mention you got from me was when GS and I were talking about the BLAARG thread. Obviously you remember reading something I haven't said so I don't know what to tell you about that. Not remembering something verbatim that someone posted on a forum is a great deal different than misidentifying a cougar. I think trying to equate the two is ridiculous.

I don't care if you don't believe me but you go out of your way to be insulting about it and the only reason for that would be because I pointed out your hypocrisy in dealing with footers. This doesn't have anything to do with whether I saw a cougar or not. It's really pathetic IMO. I hope this illuminated your issue for you.

Post 2802, Jodie.

For some reason, you've developed this habit of calling me out for statements I haven't made. Then, when your error is pointed out, you double down on it instead of own up to it. I'm not sure why you're doing this, but if you can't be a reliable witness to your own statements that are preserved right here in these threads then yes, it does erode my confidence in your claims of extraordinary events you've witnessed.

NL, clearly he is saying Feeling Relevent is not important whatsoever.

How can you misinterpret something so badly?

Gee, I don't know. Maybe it was because it was exactly what you typed.

No, Drew just posted what I actually typed, and it was a dig towards Jodie and a declaration that I need not begin a thread merely to prove a point and feel relevant. The fact that you're a grown-ass man who doesn't get this is rather embarrassing, to say the least.

But by all means, carry on trying to create something out of nothing, as you've sod-all else to do besides lying about your daughter being in a dancing competition right as I'm asking you for details pertaining to our bet, lol.

Bigfootin' must be having an off-peak season  Here, have a small candy-coated liquorice sweet.

Do not personalize the argument. It is ok to challenge others' claims, but when that devolves into name calling, you step over the line. Keep it civil. And keep it on topic.
