I'll give you another one, the reason women will like him is precisely because he's a strong man, women like that. The whole republican field since McCain till present have simply been wimps. Trumps whole appeal is getting out there and saying what needs to be said so we can begin to turn the destruction of our country around.

I think this stuff is being saved for the second and third laps. We're only just off the starting line. At this juncture, which of the GOP "contenders" is willing to run against misogyny? And which of them has to when Teh Candidate gives them the votes on a platter.

The spin that Trump isn't so bad among women voters ignores reality. It's almost like David Duke pointing to a couple of black voters who supported him for whatever reason. In the most recent poll that gives results by gender (a local Fox News poll in Michigan), Trump trails both Rubio and Bush among women voters and they both trail Hillary.

In the likely event that he rises to the top of the GOP ticket and makes his way into the general, he is going to get decimated by the woman's vote. You know it, I know it.

Stop with the contrarian position. Your basically saying Jews would vote for Hitler. Their #1 enemy. Trump is a woman's #1 enemy.

I disagree with the last sentence. Most of the other R candidates are actually worse.
 
Don't forget, Trump hasn't even begun capitalizing on his family yet in the context of the campaign. His daughters are extremely attractive, successful, poised and accomplished women. Once they get into the public eye promoting Trump, a great deal of the "Trump as anti-women" meme will be neutralized.

The psychology of perception and credibility. Trump has reputable, accomplished, poised (and, yes, very attractive...whether we like it or not, that matters in visual media) women who are close to him and have been for their entire lives, adding credibility to his declarations of commitment to women's issues, and detracting from the narrative that he is anti-woman.

I'm not saying it's completely rational, but as his campaign progresses, these women will likely be in the public eye supporting Trump, and it will have an effect. They come across as charming, classy, tastefully reserved, and intelligent, and these things count in our modern, television-driven campaigns, giving female voters an image that contradicts the notion that Trump isn't someone who cares about the well being of females.

I understand if you disagree that this will have any significant impact, but does that at least explain my thoughts? Or is it still unclear?

Well, personally, I cannot imagine anything that they could say that would make women forget all his documented comments.

But as I say, I have no idea what will and won't change his numbers.
 
I'd like to comment but unfortunately I, like many other Britons, can't actually believe that any American honestly wishes for Trump to become President of the US. Mention Trump's name here and people burst out laughing. He's a joke, a figure of fun who happens to be a nasty bit of filth at the same time.
