Obama compiling secret race database

Obama is scheming to use racial politics to create loads of racial legislation.

He's wants to desegregate the suburbs, regulate all school punishment based on race, and god knows what.

http://nypost.com/2015/07/18/obama-has-been-collecting-personal-data-for-a-secret-race-database/

A key part of President Obama’s legacy will be the fed’s unprecedented collection of sensitive data on Americans by race. The government is prying into our most personal information at the most local levels, all for the purpose of “racial and economic justice.”
Unbeknown to most Americans, Obama’s racial bean counters are furiously mining data on their health, home loans, credit cards, places of work, neighborhoods, even how their kids are disciplined in school — all to document “inequalities” between minorities and whites.
This Orwellian-style stockpile of statistics includes a vast and permanent network of discrimination databases, which Obama already is using to make “disparate impact” cases against: banks that don’t make enough prime loans to minorities; schools that suspend too many blacks; cities that don’t offer enough Section 8 and other low-income housing for minorities; and employers who turn down African-Americans for jobs due to criminal backgrounds.

I clicked the author's name at the NY Post site and his body of work is very impressive.

Like the census? Which already does that? And has for hundreds of years?

zero can kiss my white ass
Doesn't it matter to you at all that Sperry couldn't be bothered to include the slightest amount of evidence to support his claims in the article? What if he's trying to make a chump out of anyone reading his article?

What Obama wants is to nationalize the suburbs.

The Obama administration has used disparate-impact analysis and the threat of lawsuits to address everything from school-suspension rates to bank lending to firefighter exams, often at the risk of leaving the intended beneficiaries worse off. How does pressuring schools to suspend kids based on skin color rather than behavior help those students who are in school to learn? How does saddling low-income minorities with debt and bad credit scores, by lending them money they can’t afford to repay, leave them better off? Disparate-impact proponents seem to view the actual individuals affected by their actions—the kids in need of special-education services or a safe learning environment; the ghetto housing tenant in need of a working toilet—as secondary concerns.

Its Obamacare for the suburbs

Doesn't this belong in the CT forum? Just because a CT involves someone in office doesn't make it a USA politics topic.

Wait, so Obama is putting into place a massive government database to document potential areas of discrimination?

Great!

I must say, when I voted for him, I never thought that he would be the sort of guy who would do such a thing. But his behavior in the past year or so have been quite a pleasant surprise for me. Now maybe we can get a good look at the data, and begin discussing what we should do about patterns of discrimination where they appear.

ETA: "Obamacaer for the suburbs"? What does that even mean?

Didn't you already start this thread.

Nothing in your quote supports anything in your quote.

The database is going to be used because the supreme court has ruled that "the existence of racial disparity in housing" is enough for someone to sue.

HUD is going to go into suburbs tell them that they have a racial disparity in housing and then mandate that they ship in minorities.

This is forced migration based on race.

Here is a link to the supreme court ruling;

That massive NSA database center that used to be spying on us has to be used for something. Unless you are in favor of government waste.
