Well, I seem to recall that this mystery guest, if I have his identity right, didn't want to attend skeptic conferences anymore because he thought people were likely going to stab him in the eye.

I wonder what (may have) changed his mind.

I don't know if there is any info beyond his public FB posts, but there he declares he cannot attend due to a sudden financial issue, and he is really bummed about it. Maybe eye-stabbing started to appeal to him.
 
Damn it, The Dolly isn't going so she can't offer to taze our mystery guest again...

I dunno... he just posted a picture of him hugging Eos, and she looks distinctly uncomfortable.
