Again, thanks for the reply. I don't see this as that big a leap. But they are all leaps to one degree or another. It definitely fits the nursery, the law office and the cottsge, You can't seriously believe that Rudy didn't commit the burglary at the law office?
I think it is possible, and not in the anything is possible vein, that he fenced the goods. People specialize. Not to cross Vixen but the theft industry does have different jobs and they do specialize and rarely if ever are they charged with conspiracy to steal (sorry Vix).

I tend to believe the Spanish kids because their saying he had a lot of computers seems like something one would notice and in and of itself isn't a big deal.

I think he was more cut out to be a fence as he already was doing sales and was a gregarious guy with contacts in Milan.

No offense Grinder, but your logic that Rudy was a fence, is downright silly.
A fence is basically a broker. My profession for almost 2 decades. You're on the phone constantly, you're sending texts, PMs and emails constantly. You're talking to buyers and sellers and you have to understand the value of everything. You're researching everything. It takes more than being gregarious. It takes communication devices, like phones computers with Internet access to send and receive those emails. And according to the Spanish girls, he didn't have Internet.
It also takes liquidity. Cash on hand.

Far more likely is Rudy is the burglar who has stuff that he needs to sell and doesn't know who to sell to and for what price. So his booty is piling up. And there is a good possibility it's all crap, because Rudy doesn't know the difference between a valuable computer and an outdated worthless POS.

You listed out characteristics of sexual burglars and loner was one[/HILITE]. Rudi doesn't fit.

Again, either I wasn't clear or you didn't understand. I DID NOT say that sexual burglars were loners, only that they committed their burglaries alone. Big difference.

He's not a broker he's a small time fence. In the underworld people also give credit. Maybe Rudi lost the laptop and phone that had been stolen by someone else and that's what he had to pay up. This totally falls together. Rudi was fronted the laptop and phones but lost them in Milan. The gang had him pay up by taking them to a location where he could get money.

Rudi had phones and Skyped but this kind of business doesn't require high tech, it's more of a person to person biz.

Rudi doesn't know what's hot and in fashion. I think not. Rudi may be lazy but he's not dumb.

Here's what you said:

Most burglars work to minimize the amount of time in a victim's place. Get in and Get out. But all of these crimes, the burglar took their time, making food taking a dump, etc. which fits the "sexual burglar" profile. Also "sexual burglars" are almost always loners.

Tesla please

I just don't buy it. Even a small time fence is operating just like any other business person. Trying to buy low and sell high. It takes savvy, experience and negotiating skills. It also takes kmowledge. Something that takes hard work. The used personal computer business sucks. I have said before and I'll say it again for the hundredth time, The value of everything just goes down in value and fast.

If Rudy was 35 instead of 22, maybe. I see a desperate loser, not a savvy guy who knows what he's doing.

My mistake on the loner comment. , that was what I wrote, but not what I meant or was thinking.

A number of people keep trying to invoke a companion to help Rudy with the burglary. What nobody has come up with though is a reason why Rudy needs help, any evidence that shows there was a second person working inside or a narrative of how this all went down with two perps other than one staying in their car and not bothering to inform the other when Meredith comes home.

The critical point for me is who was in the room when Meredith was murdered. We can see the tracks of one person who was Rudy Guede. We can see the palm print left by one Rudy Guede. The DNA of one person, again Rudy Guede, was found inside the victim. There is the spot on the bed where one person sat and left imprints of the presumed murder weapon. And the clincher is there is blood stain on the door handle where a person with bloody hands opened the bedroom door to get out.

If someone wants to say that maybe there were multiple perpetrators, they need to bring a narrative forward that covers these points found in the evidence so that we can start a comparative analysis of the possibilities.

No evidence of Raf and Amanda in the murder room? Together with the shard of glass from the staged burglary room, is the bra clasp with Raf's indisputable DNA thereon - the First Instance court rejected contamination claims - and then there is the shoeprint testimony re exhibit photo 105:

"the technicians reported that it was made by the deposit of haematic substance (i.e., blood); the outer edge of the shoe is distinctly visible; nine lightly arced elements are discernable, with a width of ...[various measurements]...corresponding to the ball of the foot. The technicians hypothesised that the print had been made by the heel and the central part of the sole of a left shoe. Based on the small size of the heel and the reduced dimensions [overall], it was held to be a woman's shoe print [Massei's emphasis), of a size between 36 and 38. In any case, it is a shoe much smaller than that attributed to Rudy Hermann Guede."

So you see, there is solid scientific evidence for all three of the defendants in the murder room.

Who do you prefer to believe, the p!sspoor American media who mindlessly claim, "there is no evidence" or employees of the Italian police forensics team?

The expert witness of the above is Dr Lorenzo Rinaldi (Engineer, Principal Technical Director of the State Police, Director of the three sections composed of the Identity Division of the ERT).

Who's next to argue that Rinaldi "is as crooked, bent and corrupt as Stefanoni, Mignini, Maresca, and Italy"? Anyone?

The Massei decision is now definitively annuled. Despite you unsubstantiated claim it is only the US media saying there is no evidence, really, against either of them....

.... that's the final determination of Italy's courts.

Why do you not accept this?

The evidence was solid, they were exonerated because of Hillary's upcoming campaign.

I know that somewhere aloNg the line you made a point that his name is spelled Rudi with an "i". I see that in motivations they spell it that way. Ok, nice to spell it right. But how do we know that the Italians didn't Italianize his name? And thus they are not spelling his name coorectly?

I would like to think that the courts would only use his legal name but not so sure about that. He did come from a French speaking country and French media, as well as Italian media are seen spelling it "Rudy".

Just curious on what basis you have afopted that usage.

They did make the request to Massei, the day before the verdict (not after as indicated by one poster). Raffaelle's concerns about Steffi fudging results are very understandable. Still the request was made, objected to by the prosecution and the civil parties and denied by the courts.

My first thought about the last minute request to Massei was, 'oh come off it, don't pull that stunt'. But my second thought was, 'wait a second, this is Italy, where trials and appeals spin out forever and everyone who passed through Perugia that day gets called to give evidence. When did finality suddenly become important?'

Anyway, as you say, they asked both before Massei and Nencini. It would not surprise me if they asked Hellman too.

Italian does not have a "y" in its alphabet; except for "loan words" from other languages. So in Italy, "Rudi" is perhaps the only way it can be spelled. There's nothing wrong with spelling it "Rudy" in English.

.... or in French for that matter "Rudy" is probably how he spelled it back home, French is the main language of Ivory Coast.

AK statement to police November 4, 2007

http://www.amandaknoxcase.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Knox-Statement-04-Nov-2007.pdf

Is it possible Lumumba heard after his release that Pasquale had offered Meredith a job and appropriated that for himself to tell the tabloids and big note himself?

I wonder what, then, about the answers given by Amanda in this interview, caused the police to say "Are you lying?", "Are you sure you're not lying?" and to threaten her! There seems to be nothing in this statement that relates. Which answers to which questions generated the extraordinary police response? Where, from the document do we get a sense of it?

Saw this event listed for June 18 in London. Wondering if any of our UK based posters might attend?

Wonder if any UK based guilters will show up to explain their views?

(is it wrong to wish we could bus in a load of guilters, and televise this event? - '“Foxy Knoxy”: the fabrication of a killer celebrity identity' - can you just imagine that scene???).

I'm afraid I'm working in Dorset that day. It looks rather dry anyway. One for law scholars I think.

I don't know LPA, might be a day to call in sick. How can you resist this? What if famous guiltards show up and make a spectacle of themselves? Who will report back here to let us know? Please, I beg you to reconsider?

Ha, it's not the kind of work I can call in sick to I'm afraid!

Oh well done for spotting this. Can't but help to flush out some very strange people. I wonder if the organisers might appreciate that the Q and A could get a little tense. Are we having a skeptics' social?
