Continuation Part 15: Amanda Knox/Raffaele Sollecito

All I said was it was informative to read the earliest reports of incidents, before details got airbrushed out. It is an objective fact newspapers reported the washing machine.

You may believe history can be rewritten. That's your prerogative.

Who air brushed all of this vital information from the court transcripts?

Not a tabloid. At least two broadsheets. "Top people read the TIMES" was once their slogan, alluding to the fact the hoi polloi can be fed a load of rubbish in the "gutter press", but us ruling classes expect accuracy and truth.

Peter Quennell has a brilliant mind and ********* detector. I haven't found him to be untruthful. Of course anybody can make an error.

<Cough>. Ok, I give. I am changing sides.

Only a crazed mind would think the police and forensic team were doing their job to the best of their ability.

You actually did not mean to say that. That is defamatory against the Scientific Police. I suspect this will be the second thing you ever correct in your misapprehension of things.

Don't put words in my mouth. All of the quality press reported both in the earliest days - Nov 2007 -

The reports (if there were any) were wrong, like much of the early reporting. Get over it.
and from live court testimony that the washing machine could be heard just completing a cycle

??? Not according to the court transcripts. Is this another of the TJMK lies?
and Filomena testified the washing machine was still warm when she arrived.

"umido" - damp.

TIMES, GUARDIAN Filomena's testimony.

Um...no. None of these sources reports that the postale police on arriving at the cottage heard the washing machine running. Since Romanelli arrived after the postale police, you will see immediately that she couldn't possibly be in a position to testify on the matter.

Again, what sources, aside from Quennell simply making the claim without citation, do you have that the postale police heard the washing machine running when they arrived.

Or is the answer, "None"?

In the Observer article recently cited by Vixen, there is a reference to glass on top of clothes, but the only direct quote from FR is that the glass was on top of the computer, not the clothes.

ETA: where does the claim of "glass on top of the clothes" come from, originally?

Filomena had left the computer in its case standing up at the foot of her bed. She found it on its side in the same location which is under the window. If what Filomena says about the glass being on top of the computer is true it means only that the computer had fallen over before the glass finished falling out of the window. With the broken window swinging freely on the inside, additional glass may have fallen out any time during the night and morning. It is also possible that the laptop fell over as a result of the inner shutter suddenly swinging open creating a strong air vortex.

ETA: have a look at the foot of Filomena's bed in dsc_0077.jpg. The cupboard door is swung open against the bed and the pile of clothes are on the floor in front of that door. There is no room for the laptop case to be on its side on the floor at that location.

There is also the curious testimony from one of the postal police that say they saw Filomena's computer on her table. Rafael also mentions this which I had earlier attributed to Raffaele confusing Laura's and Filomena's rooms but now I am not so sure.

What a disappointment! I had expected on returning to the thread to have all my doubts dispelled but in three pages Vixen has failed to substantiate her washing machine claim. I will remain on the fence, like Vixen herself, equally skeptical of both sides.

Vixen, have you any more earth shattering claims that could propel me into the guilter camp? I am ready to be converted by the force of your arguments.

Which definition of the word "argument" are you using?

Welcome to block...

My god. The ballerina stalker and pervert Quennell has "a brilliant mind?"

The OBSERVER IMV is the best Sunday newspaper.

Yes, and the report you cite contains nothing of substance, other than FR's reported suggestion that the washing machine was "warm" - almost certainly a mistranslation of "umida".
So Filomena is "back-stabbing Amanda"?

Undoubtedly. As I said, there are no facts of any substance in the report, just an unspecific assertion that she "posed a string of problems for the defence". So, no specifics, just a hostile tone to her testimony.

And, as far as we know, neither Filomena nor Laura Mezzetti have ever contacted Amanda offer to offer her support, or sympathy for the murder of her friend Meredith, or regret for the unwarranted 7-year-plus torment that she has been put through on the basis of the vacuous nonsense that you are parrotting here.
Only a deranged mind would think Filomena was trying her best to recount the events to the best of her knowledge, under oath.

I don't think you meant this the way you typed it.

I too had understood that F's computer was on her table, across the room from the broken window. Do the photos really show the computer in its case by the window, or just the case?
