Moneymakin'! The BFRO Bigfoot Expeditions Thread.

Sounds thrilling.

So no chance of seeing that NDA, huh?

Ok NL, I was hoping that the logical arguments would show you the absurdity of thinking that a 9 ft tall Bigfoot would or could sneak up on you close enough to throw a tiny piece of candy at your friend. So I guess I'll have to tell you how I know it wasn't a bigfoot:

There is No Bigfoot...God told me so.

Sorry, but I don't have it. If you seriously would like to attend then I will put you in touch with the organizer and I look forward to meeting you.

Come now. You've signed them, which can't be done without, um HAVING one to sign. There is one for the upcoming expedition too.

This wording demonstrates attending is a requirement for even LOOKING at a non-disclosure agreement, and since the nondisclosure agreement must be signed to attend... ergo the nondisclosure agreement itself is subject to nondisclosure.

So thank you for proving that.

I signed them for the BFRO but since I'm part of the SRA, it isn't needed so I've not had to sign one.

Just a couple things I highlighted. Why in the world would you suspect first off that if something threw candy at you, it would be anything but human? Anything beyond that is ridiculous. Your promotion of bigfoot camping trips and the "phenomenon" is well noted. We most likely know what your motives for posting here are too. A little promotions work here and there never hurts eh. (I understand this being in the entertainment industry myself) Also, why would you suspect "a member of the group" as opposed to someone (a hired actor/participant) else using nightvision to to navigate around? (if any was needed) Does this group par chance toss candy at suspected bigfoots also?! lol

Candy, and bigfoot? Come on son, you can do better than that!

River,

I can't believe I didn't notice this before!:jaw-dropp

What would be the best, most Bigfootin Expert Expedition?:D
How would you do it up Big? Like Bigfoot Big? :covereyes

Because this is one big Larping Barg. Going out in the woods is pretty cool all
by itself. I enjoy it. I even enjoyed it when we called it Training Exercises.

Wait, one idea. I think the Expeditions should each have their own name and number.
All of our STX's and FTX's had names and numbers.
The bigger the game (more equipment involved) the bigger the name.

Then, start making and selling a bunch of camping stuff with
the names and numbers painted or stenciled on there. For memories sake.
It would sell!
:p

Remember you saw it here first!
Connect the merchandise to
each and
every
Expert Expedition. TM
That trademark doesn't have a little circle. :o;)

lol. What an amazing set of coincidences that make it so impossible to see the nondisclosure agreement that you are so sincerely wanting to get in front of us.

The word games are pretty fun too, with now the term "organizer" being the only person who can obtain a nondisclosure agreement for us. You are only "part of" the SRA though, not having obtained the title "organizer", except that you have the power to "welcome" any skeptic along. Also, being "part of" SRA means you don't have to sign one, which makes it impossible to obtain one even if your life depended on it.

The bylaws of this organization are apparently extremely complicated, prohibiting someone who is "part of" the SRA from obtaining a nondisclosure agreement from an "organizer", but someone who is "part of" SRA can welcome anyone he wants to the car camping trip.

Obviously, cutting through the B.S., you could get ahold of a nondisclosure agreement if you actually wanted to. The gamesmanship demonstrates there is something really important in there that you don't want us to see.

Excellent find, Castro.

Looks like this is the only thing not protected:

Confidential Information does not include information that is approved by the Organizer, in writing, for release.

One of the important things about this is that we have been told the prohibition on divulging the location was something the property owner was forcing on the otherwise eager-to-tell discussant.

This nondisclosure agreement specifically requires the location be secret, and we know why. Not because national parks, state parks, or local property owners all make nondisclosure a requirement.

It is an Alternate Reality Game requirement.

If you get a Bigfoot can you keep it and reap the millions or do you have to give some or all to the BFRO?

What does their contract say about in the event of confirmation?

Thank you for that Castro!

I am no attorney, but it seems that last paragraph is quite uh,
all - encompassing.
As if, MM can decide if and how the customer broke the agreement,
and it is up to him how much he can sue you for? :jaw-dropp

I will be glad when someone with someone here with more knowledge
comes in with an opinion.
:)

Obviously, you two were writing while I was dithering over bolding words or not. :D

What does their contract say about in the event of confirmation?

You would think that if you know the creature exists, then it is only a matter of time
before it is found.
So, yes, WP why are there no stipulations about actually finding Bigfoot?

Would the BFRO delete an encounter report from their database if the submitter later contacted them to say that they no longer think that they saw a Bigfoot and that they no longer believe that Bigfoot exists? Has that ever happened before? They have thousands and thousands of encounter reports.

They won't delete it but they will remove it from public view and change the classification. Internally, they have their own rating system, so if they don't believe the report is legitimate, they mark it as such.

Only a small portion are actually available to the public.

So the ****** ones they actually make a available are the best of the best?

Speaks volumes.

It's kinda like Sharon Hill approving only what she thinks is appropriate.
Propaganda at its best ;)

Just a personal observation re: BLAARGing, here seeming the most appropriate place for it.

When I read/hear the acronym BLAARG, I have a very specific character that comes to mind...

That Mountain Monsters show is the quintessential BLAARG. One of the guys builds a trap every episode. Guess how many monsters they have caught, after 3 seasons?
