I'm assuming you want him nominated because you consider him to be an incompetent candidate who will make the democrats look better and give them a lock on retaining the white house. Unfortunately, remember that in the last election there was only 4% separating Obama from Romney, and Romney made a couple of serious blunders. And Cruz might end up with even stronger support from the religious-right.

The last thing you want is for the republicans to pick a completely repulsive candidate and yet have them somehow get into office. A better option would be for them to pick a more moderate conservative, just in case they happen to win.

I wasn't planning on it, but after just watching his announcement, I'm 100% on board. He's in favor of freedom. I doubt any other candidate is.

It's sad to see how far the Republican party has fallen, and the candidates they've been throwing in the ring for the last 8 years.

That party needs to be disbanded. The Democrats are already center-right. Now all you need is a left-leaning party. Maybe a centrist one would help, too. Two parties only is ridiculous.

Also is it evil from me to hope a reaaallly bad repub , utterly anti science like cruz, get elected , and the american public get a serving so bad that they wise up and try to get moderate in congress / senate / POTUS ?

They'll do a check to confirm first if there's an 'R' or a 'D' next to his name.

Investigations are only needed if there's a 'D'.

How about hoping that the party puts its **** together and produces reasonable people as candidates ?
