And would it be infectious?
I remember an RPG scenario that has a lycanthropic lobster grown to huge size and terrorising London.![]()
I think a simple wolfsbane marinade would take care of any potential infection issues.

Why would you feel a need for Silver Bullets?
I mean. We provide you with a permanent Nocturnal Vampiric Police Force (The NVPF) and put you on a parental advisory committee.
No need for Silver Bullets for you sir.
Although, I guess, you could apply for a permit for them.
Who says anything, lik you can't have them? Not us!
Of course you can!
We were just questioning your need for them.
As said. If you just fill in the right forms in the right way (and post them in the right place, etc, etc, etc), you can have all the Silver Bullets you want.
I'm glad we were able to ease your worry.
Ah think ya'll jist here to violate mah rats!
Everything I did with those rats was consensual.
The Constipation clearly states that I can have silver bullets if I want them. The 222 Amendment has been interpreted to say this, or something vaguely like it. So, in this case I chose to not ignore the Constipation, no matter how moving a document it may be.
I think that only grants you the right to bear arms. But people with bear arms are some kind of lycanthrope (ursanthrope?) themselves.
I have bear arms and dog's breath.
So you do.
And until you do something about that, you won't get in any queue. So you can forget about your Silver Bullets!
Thank you.
I was a bit surprised that the full moon phase is that short. I had imagined it to last at least a few hours. Shows how much intuition knows.
And yes. I did mean a waning instead of a waxing moon.
About the 55%. I had thought it was we could see more of the moon because the Earth is bigger than the moon? And thus us being able to look a bit 'around the corner', as it were? But maybe the effect isn't that big, due to the distance of the moon.
According to who?
According to geometry. Your line of sight must be to the side of the sun's line of illumination, because if it wasn't, the earth would be in the way, and you'd get a lunar eclipse, not a full moon. And since your line of sight to the moon is at a different angle than the sun's illumination, you will be looking at a sliver of the moon that the sun doesn't illuminate.
Sorry, no. Since the sun is farther from the moon than the earth, it illuminates a greater fraction of the moon than is visible from the earth. There is no obvious reason why the two fractions cannot overlap, although if you want to crunch the numbers I might be wrong.
You are talking about movie werewolves. There is no ancient legend or mythology that associates werewolves with the moon. Not even the most superstitious person before 1940 AD believed that humans turned to wolves when and only when the moon was full. There were superstitious people who believed that humans could turn to wolves and back. For some reason, astrologers never weighed in on the topic of werewolves. So the werewolves/moon connection was a false meme started in the movies.
The association between werewolves and the full moon was a meme that was first propagated by the first werewolf movie, 'Werewolf in London'. There was an radiation of lunar werewolves following another movie, 'The Wolf man'. Since then, there have been many variations on the idea of men who change to wolves at night during a full moon. No detailed analysis have ever been done on this fictional and nontraditional correlation between werewolves and the moon.
The bad effect of silver on werewolves is also a movie meme. Evil spirits and monsters in ancient legend are often dispatched with iron. I don't mean just cutting or trauma. Creatures who are supernaturally evil just have to touch iron to be hurt badly. So a werewolf who runs when he sees iron is a mythologically correct monster. Running from silver is just a Universal Pictures fantasy.
Using cold iron or iron forged weapons isn't one I have seen a lot of in the tales I have read, though I suspect you are generalising from other supernatural types to include werewolves, not going by the tales told.
the myth has roots in a lot of places
