Presidential Primaries 2016

Please, don't just be teasing us this time...!

Palin Seriously Interested in 2016 Run
When I was in high school, we called girls like Palin "prick teasers". Palin's a "prez teaser".

I've fixed one of her comments from your link:
“Of course, when you have a servant’s grifter's heart, when you know that there is opportunity to do all you can to put yourself forward in the name of offering service conning the rubes out of more money, anybody would be interested,” Palin said.

Bobby Jindal's campaign seems to have the support of some insane self-proclaimed prophet who can raise the dead:

Palin Seriously Interested in 2016 Run

I happen to know, with near metaphysical certitude, that S. Palin will not run for President in 2016 or any other year. She is VP of Never Gonna Run for President (D. Trump is president of that club). We can only hope that she takes to the road on a "bus tour" again, as she did in 2012, and strings out her shrinking fan-base of rubes for one last hurrah. If that bus tour includes drunken brawling, that's gravy on the cake.

Thanks for the heads-up, spendthrift -- The former governor of New York, George Pataki is seriously considering a run at this thing. G. Pataki sort of comes out of left field. I assume he's making a play for the establishment, non-wingnut wing (such as it is) of the party, which is already being pursued by J. Bush, W. "M." Romney, L. Graham and C. Christie. In any case welcome to our newest mentionable.

I'm going to remove the strike-through S. Palin's name, just because she's making cooing noises about this thing.

You know, that other poster with the handle similar to your own, whose post has mysteriously disappeared and also coincidentally provided me with the heads-up. But I'm sure he's willing to share credit.

Didn't Pataki make noises about running last time too? I think he just wants to be "in the conversation". I don't believe this is serious. It's a way to remind people that he still exists even though he hasn't held any office in years.

ETA: ah, yes. "spendthrift's" ;) article says:

It isn’t the first time Pataki – who presided over New York following the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center – has flirted with making a bid for the Oval Office. In the lead up to both the 2008 and 2012 elections, Pataki said he was considering launching a campaign but eventually decided against a bid.

No, I think this boy has cried "wolf" too often in the past to take this seriously.

Just wanted to revisit the Christie front for a moment.
Perhaps it is too soon to say that he is completely in the clear because supposedly a US Attorney is conducting a grand jury investigation. But we haven't heard anything on that front for a long time. The state legislative committee that was investigating it seems to have come up empty. Those hearings were public, whereas what happens in grand juries is supposed to be secret, and in this case there don't seem to be any leaks.

Does anyone still suppose that the grand jury might return an indictment on the governor? Or anything politically scandalous?

OTOH, some important donors seem to think that the damage has already been done.

Bobby Jindal's campaign seems to have the support of some insane self-proclaimed prophet who can raise the dead:
Two hilarious thing Maddow didn't mention are her "endless bowl of spaghetti" and her indestructible shoes. Enjoy. She's a real piece of work.

If he can raise the dead, shouldn't he be working on Romney's campaign?
Ha-ha. We know who didn't view the video. :)

Holy crap, you guys need to watch the latest Daily Show on Stephen King's Freedom Convention. Fall off your chair laughing grade comedy.

"We be tak'n for a ride. Yahoo!"

Actually, this is good GOP strategy. Let the loons get their moment in the sun then the serious candidates can get down to business. Like Jindal said, "Don't be the party of stupid."

Candidates are piling in a lot earlier than 4 years ago. And today we have another, fresh off his star turn at Steve King's Troup de Clowns in Iowa -- S. Walker, governor of Wisconsin.

And not quite rating a dot, but looking like a likely challenger to H. Clinton is former Maryland governor M. O'Malley.
