Yep. She doesn't understand the intertubes.

Agreed. I just thought it was rich that she wasn't just a staffer, but a communications director.

Query: Will she make more money in 2015 than she did in 2014? I'd be willing to bet she will, even though I won't credit her with having planned this out. Pandering to the far right is not a losing bet, yet.

I see nothing inappropriate with their clothing.

I, for one, agree with logger that their clothing did not reflect the solemnity, decorum, and gravitas that is the Presidential Turkey Pardon.

They should've been wearing T-shirts that said "I'm With Stupid."

The Obama Girls.... are off limits, like the Bush Girls should have been.

I totally agree, the Obama kids aren't to blame, and shouldn't unnecessarily be spotlighted.

But IF the parents are going to allow them to be used as props at an annual WH holiday event, then they should be appropriately dressed and told not to act bored, peevish and disrespectful of the event, as the Obama girls obviously were. But what should we expect from the children of a father who is so clearly egotistical, rude & ill-mannered ?

Pix from previous years show the girls with more appropriate dress & manners. Guess someone stopped caring, but failed to cancel the event.

Its normal for girls of that age to want to make a statement, and what they were wearing was not even close to terrible, its was just wrong for where they were.

That's when good parents come along and lend a little help!

The event was the annual turkey pardoning, perhaps the most meaningless annual thing the president does. They were overdressed and far too interested in the goings on.

But when you already hate someone, everything they do is offensive.

No.

1. No.

2. Any discussion of the Obamas parenting is completely irrelevant to how the President governs.

3. Using the girls to attack the President is despicable, whether it be by a woman or man.

I think Obama is a horrible president, but what a lame thing to complain about.

Everything about this thread:
- the very existence of it,
- the story in the OP,
- some liberal racist saying, "It was that the skin was the wrong tint."

is completely embarrassing for this forum (especially the last bit).

The term "racist", or accusing someone of it, is about as bad as any derogatory word I can think of. Use of it in this context shows ignorance, hatred, and a lack of critical thought, and I'm being nice.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with the way either of those two girls were dressed.

What should they have worn, evening gowns? Prom dresses?

Some people need to get their heads out of the backside of the Nineteenth Century.

What's sad about this is girls at this age are very insecure about their looks, its a very hard time in their young lives. The women's comments were very insensitive to these two wonderful young ladies

What they wore was just a bit inappropriate, its up to mom and dad to say ahh sweetheart lets change into something a little less revealing.

Not for current style and casual it isn't. Years of teaching high school give me sure faith in that. a
And as long as they know proper seating technique not a problem another way.

But, as noted Jenna Bush..........

Absolutely. It's important that the solemnity of the Turkey Pardon be respected, after all.

This is just as stupid as the other quote from the GOP staffer Lauten.
The Idiot Lauten said:
"Then again, your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter," she added. "So I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the 'good role model' department."
Total load of horse ****.

Republican National Committee communications director Sean Spicer demonstrates that the GOP is the party of personal responsibility... who am I kidding, he tries to blame the media for the deplorable remarks made by Lauten.

While the comments were inappropriate and insensitive, the mainstream media’s coverage of this story is appalling.

Typical. Take some *********** responsibility for once.
