From some of the comments out there, its almost as if some people expect the girls to dress like Amish farm girls, or wear a burqa or something.

So, wait, they were there to pardon a turkey, and people are upset that they didn't act in a fashion befitting the occasion?

They appear to be upset about the length of Malia's skirt. Except some people are upset that others are making an issue about it. Also, some people are upset that it has been pretended that they were complicit in insulting the girls. And some people are just reposting content because nothing generates hits like "Check out Malia's sensible top and stocking-covered legs!"

I do retract one earlier statement. The staffer who wrote the comment was a senior member of a congressional staff. She was right to resign.

What's sad about this is girls at this age are very insecure about their looks, its a very hard time in their young lives. The women's comments were very insensitive to these two wonderful young ladies

What they wore was just a bit inappropriate, its up to mom and dad to say ahh sweetheart lets change into something a little less revealing.

I don't think they're so against pardoning turkeys. They've nearly repatriated the image of their biggest turkey, and Ford pardoned him.

You put that up then say stay classy. lol

Well I guess that because she was such a religious person (after all she prayed for hours after her tweet) she knew John 8:7 well.

Seems she should have held onto that stone.

Maybe if she had prayed before her tweet, she would still have a job.

They were showing too much skin. Well it's not that they showed too much. It was that the skin was the wrong tint.

I think she should resign because we are well into the 21st century and she does not know how social media works.

Judson Phillips is ticked off and thinks that having to apologize is yet another indication that the U.S. has been neutered:

Doesn't she mean spayed?
(e.g. C. Christie's GOP convention speech refers to "America and her history")
