"Family of Michael Brown says it is requesting 4-and-a-half-minute period of silence in Ferguson before protests." <--- From CNN

Gotta love how the family accepts protests as a given.
Why not ask for "civility"?

Because everyone expects the grand jury to let Wilson walk? Why wouldn't people already know how they feel about that prospect?

Right. Also, it's typically quite easy to get a GJ to indict someone.

So, if there is no indictment, it's indicative of an extraordinarily weak case, or shenanigans.

That walmart shooting looked unjustified to me. He was shot dead while on the phone. The grand jury didn't indict.

Mike Browns father did already ....

As the nation awaits a grand jury decision on whether a white police officer should be charged in the death of unarmed black teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, the youth’s father on Thursday urged supporters to work toward "positive change" and not to engage in violence....

More. Sounds like there is at least a possibility that they won't release the evidence the grand jury saw.

I sincerely hope that's not true. It's one thing to redact witness names, it's another to not release evidence at all.

There has to be seen to be transparency (and a thorough investigation) when the state takes a citizen's life.

You don't think Wilson supporters would react badly to an indictment?

Not to the extant of burning down a store.

Besides, we're just talking about an *indictment*, not a murder conviction, whereas a no bill would essentially be a "not guilty" verdict. The pro-Brown supporters have far more reason to react badly to a no bill than than the pro-Wilson supporters have to an indictment.

The CEO of the NAACP was just on CNN saying that if they fail to indict, it would be a miscarriage of justice, even after admitting that only the grand jury had seen all the evidence.

Religious beliefs vs evaluating the evidence.

So if they indicted Darren Wilson on 1st degree murder tonight, you wouldn't come out here and say it was an injustice? You're not fooling anyone.

...and only Brown supporters would do that because...?

They're the only ones out there in Ferguson in force ready to protest.

I don't believe Brown supporters are inherently violent or anything of the sort, but I also don't see the mechanism by which Wilson supporters could pull anything off.

In Ferguson that is. Maybe a firebombing of a black church in a week.
