Thoughts about Munns' Book When Roger Met Patty

River if you're talking about the heel flap I made a gif of it on another forum and will post it when I meet the required post count.

Until then I can send you a link via pm if you like.

(edit) nevermind it's in a members only part of that particular forum. Ill get back to you.

What do you suggest it is WP? Looks like a suit flaw to me, where its coming apart at the heel.

That video is a mess. Poor quality, artifacting, grainy film noise, etc.

I don't see what you want me to see at all here. The video says that some believers say it's a "stuck tree branch". I've never heard that before let alone that you can see the suit fall apart there.

I'm supposed to see a major flaw here proving that it's a costume? That's one of the worst attempts at debunking I've ever seen.

No, but thanks for the offer.

I asked you what you saw. I don't recall wanting you to see anything. I don't know if its a "major flaw" you're supposed to be seeing either. The video is old, and was not made by myself. The person that made it pointed out something obviously. I see a suit coming apart at the heel.

I saw a crappy video.

You wanted me to see the costume falling apart. Do you recall that?

I don't know if its a "major flaw" you're supposed to be seeing either.
If a costume were to fall apart in front of your eyes it would be a major flaw.

The video is old, and was not made by myself.
I know that. Yesterday it had less than 100 views. Proof of the hoax lay dormant is a little corner of the Internet.

The person that made it pointed out something obviously.
No he didn't. There are no arrows or red circles or anything pointing anything out. I wouldn't have known which heel to look at if I hadn't been told that in the script. Is Ghetto Sven still in the ghetto?

I see a suit coming apart at the heel.
That's fine.

If I didn't know otherwise, I would think I was seeing another MK Davis Peyote Vision.

IIRC, we have discussed that point in the PGF before, and I believe one of the conclusions was that it looks like the costume foot slips backwards, making the heel stick out.
The sole and heel of the foot look unnaturally weird and do weird things. This can be even more exaggerated with the various digital treatments that have been applied.

The copy we are looking at here isn't even in color. The PGF is a color film.

The large res scans I have of those frames show the same "anomaly". As for the video having very few views its due to the video being posted as private (only those with a link can view it) It was snagged from youtube years ago. I won't argue more about what "i wanted you to see" because that's just silly. I don't want anyone to see anything. People see what they see. It's fine if you see nothing.

Thanks for the MK Davis peyote reference...

Yup that's the heel flap I was talking about.

Couple more posts I should be able to put my gif up. I made it from several Munns frames and slowed the speed down considerably and no, it's definitely not a film artifact.

Me either. My guess is Patty probably died from the infection she got from it.
Nope. She did get an infection but chewed the leg off. The weird thing is she was able to make a prosthesis with a tree branch, pigskin bindings and a stomper someone left in the woods. Unfortunately the stomper was a left foot.

Here is another suit defect that Munns avoided..

Check out the lumps on Patty's left leg..

Paterson's BF anatomy at it's best, or chunks of padding out of position?

This is early in the film and the back of the left leg is never really clear again, at least not in the LMS version..

When Munns was asked about it, he wrote it off to lighting and shadows, or a film anomaly. Never mind that the defect is in direct sunlight, and that the other back " muscles " that proponents are so quick to point out as being ' realistic ', have pretty much the same appearance as the ' anomalies ' on the back of the left leg..

That is a great example because that frame is probably the best looking butt-cheek view and it's easy to get drawn in to that feature that looks good but ignore a feature that looks so obviously wrong.

It looks like you are using a frame from the LMS PGF clip. Here I will provide additional frames before and after what you posted. IMO, I don't know what that is there in your frame - which at quick casual glance looks like two baseballs stuck inside the pant leg. The additional frames don't help support the idea that we are seeing a costume flaw per se, IMO. I think it may be a problem with the production/presentation of the LMS stuff.

These are in sequence from top to bottom. Your frame is the fifth in this sequence...
