The blood drop is outside, but was it created by someone/thing that was outside the window? Or could it perhaps have been created by a person reaching outside to close the window?
One other note about the drips on the bedding: it seems to me that the normal way to sample these spots for forensic testing is to cut them out and take the cut outs to the lab (like they did with the knife). Why are the sheets, comforter and sofa all intact, then?
A little luminol downstairs would have been a good idea.
Good points all around, Diocletus.
I had kinda assumed that the cat would have jumped from the cinder block wall up onto the bathroom window ledge, gotten a drop of blood there, then a lot more on the floor below when inside.
The blood on the bathroom floor is too many drops, way too closely spaced together to be from a cat, in my humble opinion, when compared to the other spots around the flat and on the stairs. Someone was freshly cut and bleeding a lot to have left those blood drops, seen here again to show the little drops, medium drops and bigger drops. The drops are only here, they do not form a trail leading out of the bathroom.
There does not appear to be blood anywhere the cat would have had to be to leap up onto the window sill,
such as if it jumped from the top of the toilet, as far as I can see.
It would be nice to watch an uncut video clip of all the rooms in the downstairs flat from Nov. 2, 2007.
Why is there a gap missing of almost 2 hours from the Crime Scene video from when the pot plants are found downstairs until they are back upstairs inside Meredith's flat? What, did the video camera battery run outta juice? Or is there something downstairs below that I, and you, do not need to see, so ILE edited and cut the scenes out?
It's gonna start getting light soon,
I'm grabbing my 600 mm lens, an extender, a Canon 1D mark 4
and heading to the beach shoot surfpix of a bro, the surf is supposed to be pumping again!
See ya!
