One fist to the eyeball. There may also be evidence of other injuries from more blows Maybe torn uniform from grappling?

Why do I get the impression that this was your opinion from the very beginning and no amount of evidence would change your mind?

I've been going off witness statements and the location of the body and the number of shots. If there's evidence to contradict this, I'm completely willing to hear it. Getting punched in the face at the SUV would not in any way justify chasing him, shooting at his back, closing the distance, then shooting him six times. Even if he was punched really, really hard.

That's what I'm thinking.

1 round during the struggle.

1 round as Brown ran away.

6 rounds into Brown from the front.

The 1 round as Brown ran away is not damning to Wilson unless it hit Brown from behind.

So far the autopsies have apparently not been able to conclude that a round hit Brown from behind.

As I understand it the results were inconclusive in regards to one bullet wound, however I've only see a report on one of the autopsies that was printed in the New York Times. Have you seen anything on the other ones?

I'm unsure how it would play out if he fired at Brown from behind. You may not like this, but once Brown started running WTF was Officer Wilson doing? He knew he had a felony suspect from a convenience store robbery which implies that person was caught on camera, knew he probably lived in the area and he could probably visually ID Brown himself. There was no need to go firing or chasing after Brown, that was the time to call in the cavalry and track him down....

The only six shots that we know for a fact happened hit Brown in the front, so unless Brown was running backwards, it is a tad difficult to claim he was fleeing when those shots were fired. The rest of your post amounts to an argument from incredulity.

Jeezus, it was in the article. Police sources are now admitting that he was shooting at Brown's back, but missed. This is precisely what the witnesses said happened. Brown heard the shots at his back and then turned around to face Wilson. Witnesses say his hands were up, Wilson says Brown turned to charge him. Wilson then shot him and killed him.

He's a racist white cop, so he doesn't count as a "witness" to the extreme left, even if he does have medical evidence that supports a very important part of his account (he probably just hired a goon to beat him after the shooting, or the car door did it).

Yeah, I recall in the Zimmerman case there were posters/commenters saying he had hit his head on purpose on the side of the apartment building, in the back of the police car, and even a pole in the police parking garage.:)

.... Getting punched in the face at the SUV would not in any way justify chasing him,
That certainly would too. Except may in you own world, occupied by Unicorns and sea serpents?

shooting at his back,
We have nothing yet to corroborate those media reports. I' m still skeptical. Seems odd the officers shot hit him six times in the front yet none of the dozens of shots at his back left a mark. Invisible Magic bullets maybe ?

This whole thread is so eerily reminiscent of the zimmerman thread.

  • The complete denial of any injury because he wasn't carted off in a ambulance
  • The grainy photos
  • The Leaks
  • The denial that any of the actual evidence mattered ....

To be honest, you are going off statements some people have made to " journalists " claiming to have seen something. Statements witch are sometimes contradictory in nature, and are not part of any investigation except inasmuch as we can presume that if they did indeed make sworn statements, those statements will be close to some of the things they have said ( and recanted ) thus far.

Actually, that's fine. All any of us have to go on are things like that. The problem is that you are disregarding the media reported statements and evidence that dispute those statements ( like the overheard conversations, reports of the officers story, recording of Mr. Browns behavior that day, et al ). That's okay too. But since it is the case, you cannot expect to not be challenged when you make a strong assertion about what happened.

Also, from your list of things " not justified ", why would a policeman not be justified chasing and attempting to stop someone who had just committed a felony against him? Isn't that kind of his job description?

in the front.

I can totally imagine Wilson shooting at his back after being dazed and in a panic from a vicious assault by Brown at the car where he tried to grab his weapon and kill him. Brown is still the bad guy in this scenario.

The autopsy was not so much inconclusive as it was incomplete. Dr Baden made it clear that the clothing, X-rays, and crime scene evidence are needed to complete the autopsy.

There could be powder burns on the clothes that wasn't on the skin. There will be blood spatter evidence on the clothing. And the location of the shells are needed.

Perhaps, in light of information that officer Wilson may actually have been violently attacked (as was released by the police the first or second day, and not retracted since ). It can be determined definitively if an officer in that State may or may not fire at a retreating felon?

Is it always verboten?

It was the second day, but the information was leaked by an anonymous on the first day. The source also said that his eye had swollen shut. Now we're learning that he suffered an eye fracture. It's consistent.

This was in the ABC article I linked? Amazing, because I have read the article a few times and see nothing there about how police sources admit he was shooting at Brown's back.

Also, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have already come to town, and the family of the deceased has the same two lawyers, Crump and Parks. The one major difference - at least so far - is despite the complaints of bias by NBC, the County Prosecuting Attorney has not stepped aside like I suspect the State Attorney for the Sanford area was pressured to do in order to make way for Corey.

Can't be true. Skeptic Ginger already proved any serious injury to the officer is a hoax.

She'll just claim it's not a serious injury, much like she did when the robbery became shoplifting and the assault on the clerk became just a little shove.
