In the past year, I've been called lots of things. A liar, delusional, and even claims of mental illness, and I really couldn't care less. This one, has been different than all the others and it has upset me. My first reaction was to fight back but decided that wasn't appropriate.

What have I ever done to you or anyone here to deserve this? I've been polite and respectful in ever post and now this insinuation of me harming my kids by teaching them to deceive others. If this is the type of treatment I can expect going forward, then I'm going to log out and end my time here.

They all do for one reason or another. You are the only posting Bigfoot believer here on JREF. They come, they post and they leave or simply stop posting.

That pattern was fully established long before ABP came here. It's also unlike some of the other woo here where you have proponents with a perpetual presence and posting.

If you don't stop posting then you will be the first of your kind.

Here's the deal: Those of us who have been active in bigfoot skepticism have dealt with folks like you many times over. Seemingly nice, polite people who claim some experience that convinced them of the reality of bigfoot show up here rather frequently. Many of us have also interacted with such folks at other places such as the Bigfoot Forums. These people have one thing in common (and in common with all the skeptics here too): none of them has ever actually seen a bigfoot.

Some of them, like yourself, have provided details of their "encounter" that actually paint them into a corner from which the most likely explanation is that the person knows darn well that the encounter was bunk and that there is no bigfoot. The only explanation that fits is that the so-called witness is actually engaging in some kind of live action role-playing game, which folks here have dubbed "BLAARG"ing. For example, there is no way that you actually believe that a bigfoot collected a white Good-N-Plenty, held on to it for a few hours while it stalked your camp-out, and then deftly tossed at the guy who dropped it several hours earlier. You don't believe that; you just say that you do because it's part of the game.

It's the same with the bigfoot poo. If you're sure that it's bigfoot poo, then collecting some would end up making you money, not costing you money. So you must not actually believe that it's real bigfoot poo or you would've collected some and proven your point and made a stinking pile of money from it long ago.

Same with the audio evidence that he attributes to Bigfoot. His only caveat with that was that maybe it is a wolf. But he won't send the audio to L. David Mech (wolf biologist) to get his opinion on it. That shouldn't cost anything.

There is a pattern of behavior which suggests pretending to believe.

Well, like most other footers, not all, but most, you don't seem to want to actually find out anything about bigfoot. You don't seem to want to examine anything too closely. Now, maybe that's just my interpretation of what you've posted, but it's a familiar theme.

I think I was the first person to note an odd trend among footers. Time and time again we would get stories of people or "expeditions" getting very close to bigfoot, either in time or in space, and then abandoning the search.

Claims that bigfoot was throwing stuff at them.

Claims of footprints still filling up with water.

Claims of bait having been taken recently.

Basically, they report evidence that would indicate that bigfoot is close to them now, or passed nearby very recently. Then they quit.

Inevitably, the person or group that got very close to bigfoot suddenly had an urgent dental appointment, and left the area without following up.

A classic example is the Skookum cast story. And of course the original PGF.

Considering all the Bigfooters out there it's quite rare for any to come here to argue or present their evidence. I think it's mainly because they know we are right about Bigfoot not existing. It's a really fast way to get your ass kicked in twelve different ways. If you aren't anonymous then all your Bigfooter buddies see the carnage.
