And is a popular recreational item in suburbia.
Methylphenidate (Ritalin) was first synthesized in 1944 in an (unsuccessful) attempt to create a stimulant that would not induce addiction or tolerance. Ritalin is very closely related to amphetamine: similar in chemical structure, metabolization and clinical effects. This close connection is the chief reason Ritalin use raises concern among patients and others.
Have you ever actually known anyone with Aspergers?
They care about resources, physical attractiveness, a man having his own domicile. Since he had most things women like, minus the personality, his obstacles were easy to clear compared to most people's. Hence he got a good roll in his "crapshoot."

Kinda like bath salts..
A certain percentage of people eating others' faces and killing people is an acceptable side effect, I guess.

No. "Bath salts" is a blanket term used to describe substituted cathinones, a class of compounds that potentially contains thousands of members. Their psychoactive effects are diverse and not particularly well catalogued. Cathinones are not chemically similar to amphetamine.
Actually, the man in Florida who police shot for chewing on a homeless person's face didn't test positive for any substance except marijuana, which can be detected so long after its psychoactive effects have worn off that it's not possible to ascertain whether or not the assailant was high at the time.
Not that I know of.
If marijuana had any effect like that there'd be a whole lotta more faces missing.
A+, 100%, bravo, encore, give that man a medal and a cigar. (A medal shaped like a cigar would be sweet.) (Just a thought.)A friend of mine once told me this, and it might very well be the best advice I've ever gotten about women. He said, "No guy has ever figured women out. Don't go chasing after them. Just work on making yourself the most awesome person you can be. Eventually women will notice that, and then they will come to you." Being an awesome person is something I should be working on anyway. In the worst case scenario, I still don't have a partner, but my life will be better than it was before.

The way gun laws are changing, we will continue to see less restrictions on where people can carry. They can carry them in school, church, kids playgrounds, hospitals, and government buildings.
So the hoplophobes will get Hawaii California and Massachusetts? How high is that fence around the borders? Are your police and military going to use sticks, tasers and harsh words to keep the non-gun wielding violent criminal element under control? However, they should all be made to live together in a new state called Guntopia, and anyone else can leave and live away from them, where no guns are allowed.
Were those issues obvious to the person who contribute to the database used by NICS? How easy it is to depend on hindsight. Where were you when we needed to you to point out Rodger's shortcomings to ensure he was not able to buy a gun?Because why is it considered SOP that a guy like this was able to obtain a gun, when he had so many obvious issues?
If you have neither personal nor professional knowledge of Asperger's syndrome, might I suggest you leave off pontificating about how it might be a "root cause" of the shooter's malfunction? Autism spectrum disorder sufferers have a hard enough time as it is without being painted as a bunch of potential gun-wielding maniacs by people who learned everything they know about Aspergers from network news and a couple minutes of wiki browsing. Thanks.

Knives are so effective -- such high kill ratios -- it's a wonder anyone would even bother to use a gun.
Easy? You can't buy yourself a good personality. You have to work for that. (Assuming, of course, that was actually an option for him.) From what I've read, it seems like this guy was just a spoiled brat, spending mommy and daddy's money. Is this correct? If so, the concept that he'd have to work for something, instead of just having it given to him, might be a completely foreign concept.
Elliot Rodgers said:One of my hopes was to at least lose my virginity before my time as a teenager was over. Being a virgin at the age of twenty would make me feel very defeated. I made a bid to do everything I could to lose my virginity in those few remaining days I had. With a tremendous amount of panic, I wondered what I could possible do. The only thing I could think of was to go out to the common areas of Isla Vista as much as possible. I had to put myself out there, even if it only increased my chances of having sex by one percent. One percent was still better than zero. For those crucial twelve days I had left as a teenager, I walked over to the center of Isla Vista every day and sat at one of the tables outside Domino’s Pizza, hoping against hope that a girl would come up and talk to me. Why wouldn’t they? I looked good enough, didn’t I? Or did I not look good enough? Such thoughts flew through my head in frantic waves. For dinner, I always walked over to the healthy restaurant called Silvergreen’s. There were always hot girls there, but none of them deigned to even look at me. On every one of those nights, I walked home alone, with my head down in defeat.
