It's a sad day for racists everywhere. I hear white hoods are flying at half mast.

Not likely. Them white hooded folks hate Jews as much as, perhaps more than, they hate blacks. It is far more likely that the white hooded sorts are laughing at Sterling for being a Jew who was done in by a mixed race (white hoods really don't like that) bimbo ... suspect a rousing chorus of "I told you so" type crap about the evils of dating not in your race ... blah blah blah.

Not likely that the white hooded crew are sad over this one.

I'll just say your opinion, supported by nothing, means nothing. Accusing people you don't know of being selfish, more concerned about PR, then doing their job, sounds more like projection, then reason.

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s confidante V. Stiviano today told ABC’s Barbara Walters that she thinks the embattled NBA basketball owner should apologize for his racist remarks.

Sterling said he wished he had paid her off. Not me, this has been to much fun by half. Should be some fun for him too. Putting a little jest in our lives. Now who I don't see laughing is the NAACP Resigned Leader who was giving Donald a Life Time Achievement Award for his service to the cause.

I think he's hired Cliven Bundy's PR guy. I love how racists take such pains to exhibit their racism to prove that they're not racists at all.

I have to rewatch it because I couldn't hear it all, as there was someone here interrupting all the time with "Doood! Why don't you just shut up? You aren't making things any better and the more you talk the worse off you're going to be!" (That person was me. I hate him, but I can't help feeling sorry for someone that ignorant... some of the time.)

LOS ANGELES (AP) — An interview that was supposed to be an attempt at rehabilitation instead had Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling facing fresh rebukes as he went from apologizing for recent racist remarks to slamming Magic Johnson, repeatedly bringing up the ex-NBA star's HIV status and calling him an unfit role model for children.

"He's got AIDS!" Sterling said loudly at one point in the interview, cutting off CNN's Anderson Cooper as the interviewer attempted to cite Johnson's accomplishments after Sterling asked, "What has he done, big Magic Johnson, what has he done?"

Apparently he's a "bad role model for kids" unlike Mr. Sterling himself.

A young NBA star sleeping around with lots of women and catching a disease as a result, means he's a bad role model. A rich NBA owner with a string of mistresses half his age on the other hand, that's what the kids should look up to.

I loved Donald's interview with Anderson, who looked like he swallowed a fish when Donald asked him about girls. Clearly, Anderson is nothing in Donald's world. At 81, Donald is having more fun and excitement than any 81 year old could or would expect. Glad at least that CNN is off the plane. Hope we see more and better Donald Sterling interviews.

He's not having fun. For someone who clearly cares a lot about his image and reputation, this is probably closer to a worst nightmare for him. That's why he has a history of paying for vanity ads for himself in the papers. He also handled the interview very poorly. If he did anything for himself there it was making himself look meek and clueless, which might invoke some feelings of sympathy.

I've always liked Magic Johnson, I thought he was a terrific player. I don't have a whole lot or respect for Magic Johnson, though.

• We don't know how he became infected with HIV. He obviously liked lots of sex so who knows?
• We also don't know how many women he infected before he discovered he was HIV positive. Maybe some of those women didn't have the kind of financial resources he has.

Is he a role model? I would say no, I would say he is basically a self-indulgent jerk. Only a very likeable self-indulgent jerk.
