Your real TAM 4 highlights - post them here!

She was quite impressive on the Red Rocks tour. And Slick even called her by 3 different names! He called her Ellenore once, and then something else, but I can't remember. But most of the time she was Evelyn.

I'm not at all picky about names. I had a friend (whom I knew for years!) who still mixed up my name and called me Eleanor. I gave up after awhile. My friends here at school usually call me Evy.

Let's see... so many highlights!

-Going out with Randi and the crew on Tuesday night for dinner. No matter how much time I spend with Randi, he always continues to amaze me.

-Richard Wiseman's and Daniel Dennett's talks. They were my two favorite speakers. I particularly liked when Wiseman talked about the singer who changed her lyrics to be more scientifically accurate!

-Observing poor Kari being stalked by everything remotely male in the room (and by some females as well, I think! Heck, if I go Lesbian it will be with Angelina Jolie or Kari, no doubt).

-Watching in amazement as the auction items raised thousands upon thousands of dollars for the JREF

-The Saturday night forum party-- what a great time! I enjoyed meeting so many people and found myself strangely surrounded by Brits. I think they're trying to repossess their colony or something. I'm sorry I didn't have time to meet more forumites and others at the party. Moe, you go girl. I've never seen a noble prize-winning scientist (or any scientist, actually) with such a big smile on his face!

-Red Rocks. The desert is so beautiful. Thanks to everyone who came! I wish we could have stayed longer.

-Seeing so many great skepchicks at the conference. Moe, Girl 6, Renata, Bug Girl, MLynn, Supercorgi... and countless others...

Whoa, I'm actually blushing. I was going to say that I had a wonderful evening with you, Kitty! I enjoyed the conversation and the show. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the nagging thought, "Darn! Why are all the really great women already taken?"
Ahem. I don't think I got to meet you, but I object to that statement! :D

Kitten, I just want to say that you are a lovley and intelligent young woman and I wish you a fabulous future! Ah. I wish I was your age again! Thank you for the Red Rocks tour even though my car got lost and we missed some of the speech. Vive geology even though you didn't know the botany. :D

I did too. I told you-- that type of desert shrub was the spikey green shrub. See. I knew the answer!

Psst... if it's fossilized, I do much better :-)

. . . . I'm not going reprint some of Phil's comments, but suffice it to say some of them had me rolling.

I almost wish you would, so I could remember. I recall feeling very little pain, and ranting about a few subjects, but certainly those subjects aren't what I'm thinking they were. Or perhaps they are. It was that kind of night.

Oh, and Big Nickel's Sadam pull my finger bit was priceless.

Phil, we forgive you. Even though you were blind drunk...we forgive you. And heck, who could hold anything against someone as cute as you. :D

I could hold something against him.

My body. All right, giggitty giggity.

I liked it all.
But, I was especially pleasantly surprised and interested with Sunday's paper presentations.
My favorite was "Stopping Kaz" by Robt Lancaster.

The Main lecturer I enjoyed was Randi speaking about the Benveniste experiments.

My biggest highlights were...

1) being chosen for the close-up magic of Jamy Ian Swiss on Thursday night. I got to sit right next to him for 40 minutes while he did his stuff... what a treat! I even got him to sign the card I'd signed for a special trick. Wonderful!

2) sitting next to Todd Robbins by chance at the Island Paradise Cafe for lunch. We had a great conversation, and I'd happily talk with him again anytime.

3) meeting Phil Plait, the Bad Astronomer. What a guy!
