Yo! Here be the August Stundie nom thread

When asked by someone on that forum how it works, he explains it in a later post, check it out:

Well thats the least helpful explanation ever. I actually get how his system works but I don't get why he is using it or why he came up with it. By his system 12 = AJSBKT and all I can say to that is who cares?

And XXX in roman numerals is 10 10 10 which according to his system is AJS AJS AJS and once again I ask, Who cares?

Maybe it means "Alex Jones Sucks?":D

Why he came up with it is easy. It gave him the answer he wanted. That's ScienceCT!.

It's a good thing he keeps the copyright notice right in the middle right of the screen while he runs a slideshow of pantings, photos and video that he did not create.

LOL @ so-called "discrepencies" in the bible.

Blatant hypocrisy indeed.

Who was it that said something about beams and motes?

Unfortunately I lost power today thanks to a wildfire. So the finals are delayed at least one more day.

Why are the Jews the only people, that I know of, who have a derogatory word for people who are not Jewish? Goy

Why are the Jews the only people, that I know of, who have a word for people who supposedly hate them? antisemitic

As has been pointed out in the thread, his use of "that I know of" is the only thing that lets him say this. Thus, he inadvertently admits that his entire argument rests solely on his own ignorance.

Such purity of thought, that. It would almost be beautiful, if it weren't so ugly.

Yeah, well, if you lost power then how did you post this? Huh? HUH? CONSPIRACY!!!!!

The extra commas before "that I know of" almost make me think that he's taking the pish. Based on body of work, however, that seems unlikely.

I don't follow any of the woo, but picked up what they are doing in this forum.

Wait, if you translate 30 to Roman you get XXX, which you can translate in numbers as 666? How the **** does that work?

He is taking the letter x, looking at the position in the alphabet, which is 24, then adding the two single digits 2+4 to get 6. This is what numerologists do to get a single significant digit in order to assign some arbitrary meaning to it.

When asked by someone on that forum how it works, he explains it in a later post, check it out:

This is a trick to come up with the same result as what I responded with above.

I think you misunderstood his system.

I think you misunderstood his system.

Nope. You took the value of X as its 24th position in the alphabet. I took X as its numerical value of 10. Given the system is entirely made up either one works. :D

ETA: I suppose if the system is to reduce everything to a single digit 1 - 9 then 12 would not equal AJSBKT but rather 12 = 1+2 = 3 = CLU and thats a vowel away from what that stundie nominee needs to buy!

As soon as you find out the value of X they'll just change it on you.

Actually, I think you misunderstood his system (or maybe not; we're a bunch of sane people trying to understand the thought processes of crazy people; I imagine results may vary). I think what he's saying is this.

A1
B2
C3
D4
E5
F6
G7
H8
I9

J1
K2
L3
M4
N5
O6
P7
Q8
R9

S1
T2
U3
V4
W5
X6
Y7
Z8

I think that's what he meant by "cycle through the alphabet from 1-9" hence him coming up with 1 = AJS, 2 = BKT, etc...

He should have just done it your way though; it's a lot easier. But that there is more than one way to make X equal 6 really does go to show what utter nonsense numerology is. You could absolutely make a letter stand for any number.

Cute. Slight note though, you are going the other way with it, equating letters to numbers. 3 could be C, L, or U, but the exercise is finding a numerical equivalent to letters, not the other way around.

Yes, you correctly showed what he was saying, my comment was with what Biscuit was doing with it afterwards.

Well then you are using your own system.

The creator of this system goofed. He wants to prove the the XXX olympics is actually the 666 olympics. But he decided, arbitrarily, that each X represents the letter "X" in the english alphabet thus making the title "XXX olympics" something similar to the annual porn awards in vegas with athletics feats thrown in.(Insert your own jokes) We all know thats not what the "X's" stand for thus the creator has introduced the rule of "completely making **** up."

I disagree because of what I typed above. He did not start with letters he started with "decem" which is a number and then choose to say it was the actual letter "X." Its completely insane and I am not going to argue it further so if you disagree then we will just have to shake hands and leave it at that.:)

ETA: I guess he actually started with "triginta" or 30 and then broke it down but now I have wasted too much time on this!

Are you telling us he's doing numerology wrong? I didn't think numerology worked that way.....:D

Waits for numerological explanation of why "wrong = right".
