Yet another AE911Truth FAIL

You gave them way too much credit in that last sentence Len :)

It wouldnt call Bentham legitimate, though compared with their own pretend journal I guess it is.
That's not the paper he was referring to. I don't have a link handy but they did publish a paper in an environmental science journal (I forget the name). It was "truther-lite" and not exactly compelling.

Exactly it is up to now the only truther paper published in a legit journal (except perhaps for 1 or 2 publish in psychology journals)

They're anomaly hunting.

In fact, some
investigators have reported that
The sol-gel process is very amenable to dip-, spin-,
and spray-coating technologies to coat surfaces. We
have utilized this property to dip-coat various substrates
to make sol-gel Fe2O3/Al/Viton coatings. The
energetic coating dries to give a nice adherent film.
Preliminary experiments indicate that films of the
hybrid material are self-propagating when ignited by
thermal stimulus. (Gash et al. 2002)

And

6 Conclusion
The presence of energetic materials, specifically energetic
nanocomposites, at GZ, has the potential to explain much
of the unusual environmental data seen at the WTC.
Thermite, discussed briefly above, is such a pyrotechnic
mixture that cannot be easily extinguished and is a common
component of energetic nanocomposites.

Ignoring the fact that thermite doesn't burn for months.

From what I remember it was $3,000 publication fee and wasnt relevant to the subject matter.

I see Ryan Mackey in an old JREF thread made this observation:

R.Mackey said:
Interestingly, of the two editors in chief, one has been on sabbatical since September of last year (prior to the paper's submittal), and the other has apparently published creationist science (http://sandwalk.blogspot.com/2008/04/guelph-creationists.html) papers with affiliates of The Origin of Life Foundation. I have not yet evaluated the latter claim for accuracy, nor does it excuse or explain the poor quality of Mr. Ryan's paper, but it is an interesting coincidence.
